I do not speak the language ... but my favorite Portuguese word is Goza (sp)!

It depends on Brasilian Portugese or European Portugese. Either/or is fine, but if you want to sound Brasilian, trill. If you want to sound Portuguese, it's guttural.

Hi Tom. I thought it was that but my Portuguese is too basic for me to venture the opinion. I mean I can read it pretty well, speaking is not the same though.

Where the hell's Hilda when you need her?Is Hilda Portuguese or Brazilian? If she is Brazilian she wont be much help :(

Eh? Could you expand on that seemingly baffling statement?

This question is regarding Portuguese, would one have to conform to the guttural 'r' or the trilled 'r' or can both be used?

I think you might be mistaken, Brazilian is strictly guttural while European is both trill and guttural.
