sex scenes in Hollywood: real or good acting?

Well we are told they are doing it to illustrate a point. However there is no need for graphic sex.However does anyone know if some famous scenes were acted or real?

Halle Berry in Monsters Ball. She only got the oscar because of it. Was it real? If you watch that scene, the guy, Billy Bob Thornton appears to have a hard on. You can glimpse it. Does anyone know if it was for real?

Also in Jungle Fever that looks quite realistic with Wesley Snipes
