What do you think (based on your observation/experience) kills off a thread/topic?

For me, it would have to be the people who post irrelevant comments on a thread (which completely derails a lively discussion). How about you? Does certain people have that reverse midas touch which kills off a thread?

LOL

I've done it a few times, once on a music thread, I also remember contributing a 'so unfunny it's funny' webcomic to a thread that shut the sucker down. Fantastic.

What kills a lot of threads is when someone pops in talks shit about a poster for some beef the two had from like 5 other threads 5 weeks ago. Quick way to kill a topic

Actually that can go the other way ... endless pages of pointless abuse. You're right about it killing them as a useful thread though.

Any reply from me is sure to diminish any interest.
I guess it's a gift.

Probably the threads that cause HA to write "Goodbye emails". In doing so, the good HA leave and we are left with losers. Men probably leave due to disinterest, so many shallow and predictable ass kissing responses. ha All I can do is yawn to keep awake reading some of your responses.

Hey FAGGOT, meet SFtraveler killer!

It's laughable how a CERTIFIED TRUE FAGGOT and AGING GAY ESCORT tries so hard to INTIMIDATE the REAL GIRLS on HA. Then he tries to re-write and re-define what is feminine and masculine when he himself is in LIMBO and loves a cock up his hairy ass! Lmao..

I'm guessing that his REAL MOTIVE being here is to piss one girl at a time starting with Danielle, then me and so forth and on. And when every girl is gone..He drops the bomb and pics of him in teddy's claiming he was a true shemale after all! LOL

Threads seem to die whenever I post in them.
Either I suck really hard, or I have terrible timing.

Flames and extreme ass-kissing usually do it the fastest.

Example of extreme ass-kissing: *thread about something interesting* Random cock-smoker posts: "That's a great pic (insert your favorite HHA here) you have any more?"

Or my favorite threadkiller: *thread about something interesting* Random cock-smoker posts: "I'd love to suck your cock (insert your favorite HHA here)"

Tom Selis for the win!

But let's be honest... sometimes the tangents people go off on in a thread are more interesting than what the thread was originally about anyway.

Agree, but if you look at a real life conversation, that deviates too. It's normal.

some people have the reversed-midas-touch: when a messege from those people appears the thread usually derails very quickly.

those individuals are usually the same that lead in the number of nominations in the "loser of 'HA.com" thread.
