I had the idea for this type of documentary over two years ago. Someone stole another one of my ideas!

(It was my idea originally, though, just like shooting a "school girl" porn was. . .)

actually, just to clear everything up, it will be a 10-part docuseries with each episode focusing on a different transwoman and her life and life issues.
we wanted to show what it means to be "t" in nyc. and all of the peolpe involved have been incredibly open and honest and forthcoming.
personally, the last time i saw anything close to the "realness" we went after and got was "paris is burning"...which was about something wholly different. although, a few of the transwomen involved are in houses.

Echo. If there's anyway I can make, I will, but it's highly doubtful. Middle of the work week with a half dozen projects coming due, I doubt that I can find the 8 hours roundtrip drive time it would require. If I lived closer, I'd be there for sure. All the best. It's a great project like Hollywood says and a timely one. Good luck!

Quick question... Just verifying that the celebration on the 14th is just showing the trailer? Where and when will the 10 parts be shown?

yep, we are showing the trailer, introducing the cast, having performances, djs, and open bar. it's more of a celebration and launch to share the project with community. which is why we're posting it here.
the 10 parts will be aired next year. no definitive date or network has been chosen at this time.
really hope yo guys can make it. it would mean much. :)

hey danielle! it will be aired on one of a few networks. we have not made a decision as of yet. the trailer will be available for public consumption on our website (beingT.com) in the very near future.
in the meantime, we so want everyone in the community to come and be part of the event. so far we have over 200 rsvps and it promises to be a beautiful and fun night. :)

thank you, tom. all of the cast has been so open with their lives and thoughts. it's been beautiful. personally, i've never seen anything like it and everyone involved knows we have something that is beyond anything else that's been done.
i know i'm biased, but, truly, i'm humbled and honored to be a part of something so special.
