with your liking for transexuals, transgenders, shemales, sheboys, ladyboys, new halfs etc. ? Are you confident with your choice and new found sexuality?
Or are you still in the CLOSET? And why? Also, when do you plan to "OUT" and accept this side of yourself?

At the moment I'm in, I tried to be out, but TW blew me off and did the mall thing with one of her girls/gurls/grrls.
Oh! You mean =OUT=?
It's pretty much a need-to-know basis. Many of my friends know, at least a couple of my family know or have sussed it out (I'm not that much of a family guy, so it limits interaction). My ex and my son think I'm as gay as pink ink, so discovering that I'm into T-gurls would be a relief to them. I'm sure my ex knows (Hell, we had a F2M TS in the delivery room when my son was born!) and my son would be cool with it (If he hasn't already figured it out).
I don't hide my interest, nor do I flaunt it. Much as any relationship, gay/straight/bi/pan. It just is. I've been out with a couple of gurls from this forum and they can attest that, aside from my agorophobic nature, I have no qualms about being seen in public with someone that I am attracted to.
As for my business associates, I am so out and in their face as to be annoying. If they have grief with the fact that I like the T, I just point at the numbers and they STFU. :D
Edit: I reread you OP, Ms. H. It seems more to ask am I comfortable with who/what I am and who/which gender I am happy with.
Easy answer: Yes. :)

Anyone who's ever read my posts here will know that I'm a very reserved, private sort of person and always keep personal matters to myself.

Honestly though, if the subject ever came up in public about regarding TS as normal people, of course I would state that I agree. It's not a subject that ever really comes up, and I wouldn't look to "out" anybody ever. Not ever having to face gender transitioning myself, I just try to mind my own business on the matter.
i did to some in my family..only because of a girl i was dating and friends in my life..cause u know every girl is different..some girls don't want to be advertised as trans...if the guy is just watching porn or seeing escorts i don't see the point..see there isn't a scientific thing like being born gay for the guy..so u are really opening yourself up to a lot of criticism if u are just a hobbyist.

I also have my moments of 'baggin' it'. But I can understand how annoying/repulsive it is to smell the stuff when you =aren't= partaking.
And yah, it can/does cause respiratory ailments (Direct and constant inhalation of microwaved butter-flavored popcorn), so enjoy it in a well-ventilated area.

I can't recall where I originally heard that reference. I think it was TW ("The Wife") that first blurted out "Gay as pink ink" in my presence. :) It was definitely a keeper in the lexicon/phrase book.

so u are really opening yourself up to a lot of criticism if u are just a hobbyist.
I gotta laugh at the 'hobbyist' line.
I was on the phone with a friend/associate recently and the subject of my pending tax audit came up (Wherein three years of exponential losses - caused by a laundry list of events including, but not limited to, three deaths in the family, fire, flood, pestilence, and other, similar excuses - have red-flagged my business deductions as possibly being defined as a "hobby" under the tax code).
My friend asked "What will you say/do if they decide that?" and I pointed out that the logical procedure is for the agent to ask "Do you have any hobbies?". Since I define a 'hobby' as a relaxing passtime, I said that I'd look the agent in the eye and say "I find that getting fucked up the ass by transsexual prostitutes is a relaxing passtime, shame that that isn't deductible.". My friend, who is so laser-straight that he can't turn a corner without assistance and who thinks that anyone that has or had a dick at any point in their life is 100% =MALE=, was silent for a couple of minutes and then roared with laughter saying, "Do it, man! It'll work for you!". :)

I have a few friends who know and could care less. It has not been a subject of conversation with my family, but I'm not inclined to hide it if the subject comes up. A few of my co workers have seen me in the company of a very attractive woman who happened to be transgendered and they had no clue. The perosn I was with just wants to be accepted as a woman and has no interest in discussing her personal life, which made it easy to attend that event with her. Work is the only situation where my attraction could potentially be uncomfortable. That said, I just try and take things as they come.

Im very confident and happy with it. Ive put off, and avoided my tgirl interest for years, but not anymore. Im not ashamed to say I like every aspect of being with a tgirl.
Im not out (in terms of announcing it to the world), but Im not really concerned with who thinks what either. I have no problem taking a tgirl out on a date and being seen out in public.

my true friends are in the TS community, dudes i hang out with, talk with on the phone, etc. I met from parties & such, all cool
familywise I have always kept my personal life to myself, I come from a nosey, always in everyone else's business type of family environment, and personally it's none of their business what i do just as it's none of my business what they do, nor do i care to know.......... at the end of the day if they need me for something family related I'm there, that's all that should matter.............

Your answer does make sense.
My thought is that any girl that can pass wouldn't want her 'T' advertised,
and if it were to come out, I believe she would want to be the one to say
when, and to whom.
Basically it would be on a need to know basis.
Sometimes if you've become friends and very close to your significant
other's family you may feel that you want to be more truthful with them
in terms of your backstory and herstory.
Sometimes his Mom or Sister become like your Mom or Sister, and you
may let them into your world when you are discussing things that are
on your heart.

I dont run around with a stamp on my forehead saying "certified tranny expert" and my preferences regarding sex are a private matter. I expect others to respect my privacy same as I do not care what others do in their bedroom.
that said, I have been out with TS at all kinds of places and was not ashamed of that fact nor did I "hide" anything. yet, I wasnt announcing that the chick on my side might carry a different kind of plumbing than your average girl. and why the heck should I?
and yes, I am comfortable with who I am (or who I think I am, since self-perception will differ a lot from what others may see when they looking at you) and/or what I like.
for me, that "confession or DL"- thingie is really a NON-issue. I just dont care enough about what others might say to care. :P

As far as myself...my family and i don't speak much for other reasons besides this, but any friend of mine who would ask would get a strait answer. I consider it a test of my friendships...who's real..who aint. I handle this really normal about this is my own decision and I don`t do any forbidden thing or must be ashamed now. Or be scared and worry about other meanings and my chosen way of life.
Since longer time there I had told my best friends. My ex and her new bf had met me with a TG.
Nobody of them see there any problem or had done any unserious comment.
I like to tell my son when he getting little bit older.
To other people there I don`t go for starting that I like, understand and accept TGīs, but (what normally not often happen) in such a conversation we come to talk about TS there I always like to tell them my thoughts of this.
Not to make a secret about this can give some more understanding to our society that TS are normal people like you and me and be a part of our society.
With my open-minded kind for TS there I hadn`t got any problem or losing something. With this there I had won some very good and honest friends which are TG`s and all this friendships holding on since many years.

Not Out, and very confused with my fascination t-girl porn, which makes up the majority of my "collection". I still love girls, but I have no clue how or where to find a t-girl to explore this other fascination to see if it's real or not. =o
Not to mention just reading this board is scary, lots of horror stories about it almost all being escorting, I mean I have "friends" who like to do some things with me on occasion, but from just reading here you'd guess/assume "friends" of other variety would empty my wallet >_<

As soon as the military out here made it 'legal', I outed myself.
#1: Military law protects me persecution i.e. nobody within the organisation can use it against me.
#2: Nobody really gives a fuck; I have the respect of my superiors, my peers and my subordinates. I go out, do my job, do it well and that is all that anyone asks of me. What I do outside of the job is my business, as long as it doesn't reflect badly on the military.

What's the point of people knowing when I haven't met one yet. What would I say just out of the blue say "I like shemales"? No because its none of their business. I only like the super sexy passive ones anyway so if I were to find one of those they wouldn't be able to tell. Inside every guy would fuck a super passive fine shemale if in the right circumstances but will never admit it.

Hell yeah! In my case, "new found sexuality" is right because I only recently started meeting up with TGs (tho I've looked at TG porn for a number of years). I've been missing out all this time!
Or are you still in the CLOSET? And why?
In the closet, in that I have not told anyone yet. I could comfortably tell some close friends and relatives.
Also, when do you plan to "OUT" and accept this side of yourself?

Nopers... still in da closet here
I've told 3 friends of mine and 1 uncle (who is 2 years younger at 21) so far to see kinda test how good of a friend they are and if they'd treat me any different. The first one was really cool about it and supportive, and generally very curious about my attraction, to which I told him it's the same attraction that I have for GGs, only difference being genitals (I told them all this). I think it piqued his curiousity as he kept asking about it on different occassions. The second one's response was basically "wtf? That's cool lol." Third, was somewhat curious and generally didn't seem to care. My uncle was kinda shocked and not sure what to say, but nothing at all had changed with any of them. We're all still cool as ever, maybe even moreso. Hell, I think they all might be a "secret admirer."
I thought about telling my dad, but he's a homophobe and no amount of reasoning with him on this particular subject is going to open his mind. My mom would be ok with it, but I doubt she'd fully understand. I'm not going to openly tell them unless the situation warrants it. It's not a cop-out, I'm not ashamed, but whose business is it really? Just like it'd be no one's business if my girlfriend liked anal sex with a baseball bat.
With that said, I'd have absolutely no qualms about telling either of them if a future TS girlfriend wanted them to know. If asked about it, I'd tell the truth and act as if it's no big deal, because the more you make it out to be, the more it becomes one.
So yeah, unless I feel like sharing... it's a need to know thing. 8)
Oh, and... 'sup peoples?

My immediate family knows that i dated a ts woman, and they have met her. Being out about this is tricky in a sense, if the girl is living stealth, or locally stealth, then telling people would be in effect outing her. But we used to go to the store and out to eat together, and she drove a company truck with my name on it, so if people clocked her then I guess they know. She was in an accident once in a car registered to me, and I knew the trooper who responded, so he may have told people (it was before she had F on DL). If so it has never come back to me, but i decided when I started dating her that I didn't care if people knew, the only reservation I would have had was if it hurt my business, but i'm not really worried about that. Oh, tow ex gf's (gg) know also, one has met her. SO is that out? I don't know.

Hi interesting question, particularly the second part..."when do you plan to OUT and accept that side of yourself". Obsesedinok waited twenty years, a big chunk of one's adulthood to lead a clandestine existence. You put yourself under tremendous pressure, which can make life pretty miserable. It affects your behaviour and can manifest itself with outbursts of anger. Some try to deflect it with humour, others with a sort of teenage bravado. Take a look around. However unless you are of the opinion that this is just a passing phase, down the road you may find yourself faced with the realisation that you have lived most of your life as a lie. Bummer!!
Unfortunately that's not all. If you accept that sexuality is a continuum. Transsexuals and those attracted to them may be moving in opposite directions on that continuum. A bit of dilemma eh.... for both sides, particularly if you are contemplating a relationship. We meet on the platform Newark but you are on the train to New York and I'm on the train to DC.

Well, I think this is actually two different questions; when do you plan to "out", and when do you plan to accept this side of yourself?
As for the second question, I completely accept that I am bisexual with a special interest in t-girls, but I live in conservative Central Pennsylvania. I don't think the people I deal with on a day-to-day basis could accept that I'm bi. As far as my friends/coworkers know, I am an unusually open-minded straight guy. Some less open-minded folks may suspect I'm not straight (because they think I would be more homophobic if I was), but they have no proof one way or the other.
