Is there ANYWHERE in NYC where I can see the
race tomorrow? I don't have ESPN or SPEEDVISION
(since I don't have cable at all) but I like to watch
F1, only F1.
I've googled but there is no bar/restaurant that I
have found that shows F1 regularly, they will always
show football or baseball or golf or whatever over
showing F1.

By the numbers, Lewis needs a win or second place finish to clinch the championship, whereas Kimi needs both a win and for Lewis to finish 7th or lower, as well as Alonso to finish 4th or lower. As for what Alonso needs to win his third consecutive championship, I haven't done the math, but I also don't care given the fact that he's an asshole. That said, I sure hope Lewis does the job. The Brits are desperate for another world champion, and it's not entirely unimportant to me that he'd be the first person of African ancestry to win the title either...

Unless he crashes out he's more than likely gonna win..he's been the best driver over the course of the whole season and considering it's his first, it's outstanding. I agree with u that alonso is a complete wanker and if hamilton doesnt win i hope kimi does...
Caleigh im from uk but maybe u could watch it for free online:

I used to be a big fan of F1 back when I was a teen, when Senna, Mansell and Prost were battling one another like there was no tomorrow. Mika Hakkinen in his prime racing the McLaren-Mercedes was a highlight as well.
Schumacher on the other hand was an ass, despite all his records and he won most of his races due to better pit-stop strategies and not via overtaking his contenders. the dominance of Ferrari the last couple of years didnt help much either.
but thiis season had a few good races, and Lewis Hamilton is a badly needed breath of fresh air in F1-racing. Alonso indeed turned ou to be quite an ass, so I would like to see Hamilton take the title. If not him, than maybe Raikkonen.
hopefully this is going to be a gripping race 8)

I've only got into it over the last few years but i wasnt keen on schumacher either..tomorrow should be good shit! This year ive prefered f1 to moto gp for once...
what a race.....
too bad Lewis couldnt make it, but on the other hand Ass Alonso didnt either, and Kimi is cool as ice 8)

couldn't possibly be happier with the results, hurray for Kimi!
apparently unlike anyone else i am a big alonso fan, too. perhaps he is a bit of an ass, but he's the best race car driver in the world and that is excuse enough to be a bit of a prima donna.
considering the track temperatures it is surprising that tires didn't become the main issue, as it turned out it was a pretty good race.
one thing's for certain.....if BMW and Williams can make a little progress in the off-season the 2008 campaign should be incredible with so much talent and so much parity....Kimi, Fernando, Lewis, and Massa with Nico Rosberg and Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica showing they are ready to compete.
i hate the off-season!

well Caleigh, it was definitely one of the best races of 2007, you will enjoy it a lot. overtaking, heavy fighting, some crashes, etc.
an enjoyable finale fo the season :D

I personally think the outcome was rigged. I just can't believe Ferrari can legitimately end up winning both championships after the season they've had without the outcome being rigged by the FIA. Don't anyone bother trying to explain it to me; I staunchly refuse to believe the FIA hasn't once again intervened in things on Ferrari's behalf.
Still, after the luck he's had these last few years, Kimi's definitely deserving. Guess for his long suffering, Massa will "win" next year... What a scam.
Did you hear that Louis could win the WC on the green table?

well, first the constructors championship doesnt count anyways. nobody really cares for that.
second, McLaren had it on their hands in China but fucked it up via keeping Lewis on the track for too long: the result: Lewis getting off and losing the title.
as much as I am aware that the FIA normally does anything in favor of Ferrari, I disagree in this case. Its McLarens fault all the way.

I doubt that..i just cant see lewis hamilton giving up the world championship in his first season...no way.
But it was a strange turn of events and im glad Kimi won rather than Alonso

TJ347, have you been hanging around with Kriss and El Nino again?

The Constructor's Championship is used to determine what amount of income generated by broadcasting rights goes to the individual teams, so with this being the most important thing to the teams, I certainly wouldn't say that no one cares who wins it. Of course, we all know that fans care more about the WDC, which gives the winning driver bragging rights, a bigger contract when it comes time to resign, and more endorsement opportunities. But anyway...
I wasn't trying to imply Lewis intentionally threw the championship away, but I do find it strange the way Fernando didn't bother trying to catch up to the Ferraris at any point during the race... Just as I find it convenient for Ferrari that he pushed Lewis wide, after which point his ability to win disappeared entirely. But don't mind me. I see conspiracies everywhere in F1. It's nothing new.

Fair point...u don't know what goes down in sport these days. Like in football (soccer) there was that whole match fixing scandal in Italy, which eventually led to Juventus getting relegated from the league. Fucked up shit does happen but im not sure about this.
