Nowhere

Ok, so I was noticing the thread on Tayana De Castro, which obviously reminded me of the late Camilla De Castro, Leticia De Castro, Dany De Castro, etc, etc (just do a search) and it makes me wonder where they pick the names from.
I mean, clearly this isn't coincidence and they're not born with it.
There are a lot more last names in Brazil than we see coming up here.
Now, this was brought up before here (http://www.hungangels.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1851), but I never saw a clear answer on it.
The whole name thing reminded me of what I remember seeing in the documentary "Paris is Burning" where there were houses, as part of the "Ball" scene, like the House of Xtravaganza (Miriam, Claudia Charriez, Simone, Nikki), Westwood (Candis Cayne), etc (look here (http://www.infinitipower.com/ballerina/Houses1.html) for more). Tons of the girls people here are familiar with seem to have been part of it or are part of it, at one time or another.
So, it seems that, as part of that, many of them take on the name of the house as their own name (Miram and Nikki Xtravaganza come to mind).
Then, what comes to mind is the whole "Drag Mother" thing, which some girls go through at the start, which i've noticed some girls took as their last names in the US.
So, is it either, or something completely different?
Someone's got to know.
Thanks!
