I'm a Red Sox fan also. I miss the Yankees. It just ain't the same without having to go through them to the World Series. Picking up Clemens, threatening Torre, Steinbrenner is a disgrace. He's ruining the greatest rivalry in baseball.

With Torre leaving, the Yankees are fucked. Baseball is fucked. The rivalary is now gone. The yankees have had their heart ripped out by their own senile owner. The great players, Riverara, Posada, Jeter see the writing on the wall...................

I cant blame this one on ol' George. his two sons are running the show, and that cat Levine is whispering in their ears like the snake in eden. but i agree, the rivalry wont be the same. names like posada and rivera ar gone, and we only have a few guys in our farm system capable of making any resemlance of an impact in the AL. anyone they bring wont work as well as torre. LaRussa, although a great baseball guys, he lacks the pople skill in the locker room andin front of the camera. both girardi and mattingly lack any real pull with vetrans or rookies alike, and while they'll keep the current crop of yanks fairly in line, anyone we bring in as a FA or up from the farm wont put out as much as if torre we manager. Bst case scenario isnt lookign good for us this year. its just funny that torre proceeded two legens of managing in Cox in ATL an Larussa in STL, lets hope THAT teand can continue.
