Many of my friends and family know. The others have no need to. But there's no fantasy, guilt, secret or shame about it for me. I count several transwomen among my friends and don't care who knows. As for more intimate encounters, that's a matter of discretion between the parties involved.

The majority of my close friends know and are not bothered. My parents know and are definitely anti. Mind you they are religious fanatics so I wasn't too surprised or bothered.
If anyone else needs to know, I will tell them as and when.
