Has anyone here been burned by the bidding scam? You set appt at a price then you get a call telling you that you have been outbid and if you want to keep your appt you must meet the higher bid?

Really pisses me off

I hear your pain sweetie, but look at it this way.

The escort business isn't exactly like buying a cow at auction. The girls are in the biz to make good money, otherwise they'd go find a rich guy or get a job instead of risking our lives and liberty to provide pleasure.

So you can't really blame a girl from passing on a $200 date when someone else is offering $400. I haven't been presented with such an opportunity but I would say I'd probably go for the higher rate - UNLESS - the rish guy was an ass and the other was fun to be with. Cause it's not ALL about the money.

Hugs,
TS Jamie :-)

Revision based on comments below. I should have considered my answer better.

Most of our dates are planned ahead a day or two so I was thinking along those lines. Like if two guys called at roughly the same time and one was for substancially more time or something. But no, not when someone is on their way over. I think most guys understand that while it's not ALL about the money, it IS how we pay the rent.

But you know - if you want someone who is punctual, trustworthy and reliable - date a marine...

Maybe I was not clear. I said SCAM. You make an appointment with the escort for let's say, $250. As you are on your way to the appointment the escort calls and says she just got a better offer and if you want to keep the appt then the price is $400.

This is a form of Bait and Switch. The bait is the $250 price, which doesn't really exist. The switch is when the escort calls you just before the appt to pressure you for more money when she actually does not have another client offering more.

I have heard of many guys falling for this when they should have walked away. It's a very subtle scam but very effective.

Bait and Switch is an illegal activity, but so is prostituion I guess

That's when you say "Maybe next time" and they get nothing.

Yours is the best advice. Don't get hooked.

What the fuck is that all about. If a girl told me that I would tell her to fuck off. There are a lot of hard working honest girls out there making a living. So just find one of them and you will have a great time. I guess I should consider myself lucky, becuase the few working girls I have seen were all fair and honest and never gave me any shit. They are out there, you just have to find them.

Oh and tell the girl that scammed you to go and fuck herself with a broomstick. LOL

Clients hate upselling, providers hate it when some cheap bastard tries to negotiate the donation down.

All hobbyists have heard, "No honey, that will be $200 more".

According to most ads, I'm compensting the girl for her time, not purchasing sex acts, and anything else which might happen is a private matter between two consenting adults.

The agreement that the client should discreetly put the cash down, and neither party should make any mention of it, is best for everyone involved.

This is a total scam. It is not legitimate. If someone makes an appointment for a price, that is the price. It is not up for auction unless this is disclosed in advance.

You should post the escort's name here on this forum to warn other potential victims of this scam.

Man that would piss me off. My time is worth as much as any hole for rent.

IDIOTS, we all know who he is talking about. Do a search using his name.
