I live in Denver, that being said...the climate and the terrain is what attracts people to relocate to Colorado. You get the four seasons, very little humidity, all the major sports are represented(NFL,MLB,NHL,NBA,etc).
We have, correct me if I'm wrong, 22 peaks of over 14,000 FT.(including Pikes Peak), the highest paved road in the U.S., excellent schools, you can go from 5280 FT(Denver) to over 11,000 Ft in less than 30 minutes. Camping, hunting, boating, racing, scuba diving, skiing, snowboarding, 4-wheeling, 2-wheeling, the Air Force Academy, Coors Brewing(Golden, CO), Budwieser Brewing(Longmont,CO), over 25 Micro-brewing companies, wineries. Beautiful women, but not much in the way of a TS community, that I'm aware of(personally disappointing to me).

I like Alpine tunnel, outside of Pitkin. Plus CF&I (Colorado Fuel & Iron) has a plant at Pueblo that is pretty cool.

I went to grad school at CSU (Colorado State) in Fort Collins and loved it. Lived there for two years over 25 years ago. At that time, FC had a population of 65,000. It's now twice that (2006 estimate, 129,467), so I don't know that I'd want to be part of that sprawl. I lived in unincorporated Larimar County at the time (surely annexed by the city by now). From what I'm told, FC, Loveland and Longmont are all basically one sprawling city now. Then, Boulder was the larger city by about 15,000 (pop. around 80,000), but now, thanks to Boulder's restrictions on growth, it's still about 85,000, after peaking at about 94,000 in the mid-90s. It was always the cooler, hipper city, but if I were to move back, I would definitely pick Boulder over Fort Collins today.

We now call Boulder, "Communist Colorado". Everybody's a bunch of "Don't invade my space, tree-huggin', Land Rover and Saab drivin' assholes". Yes, things have grown together on the front range. In the early 70's, we had a bumper sticker that said, "Don't California-ize Colorado". The campaign didn't work, apparently. Still, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I only visited once, but what I saw I really liked. Loved the weather of course (came in October). Warm and sunny, shorts and short sleeves when I was there on a Friday/Sat/Sunday, then the next Monday it was just about snowing on MNF!

linkthechain and I would like to take this oppotunity to invite all the TS gals on the HA forum to visit Colorado, and specifically Denver. We think you would really enjoy the environment here, on many levels. I personally would like to see Denver become a more prominent stop-off or better yet, home for many of the gals. You've really got to try us out!

Communist Colorado, that's funny. Tree-huggin' yes, but it seems that yuppie has gotten the better of hippie from what you say. Fort Cow otoh was rather half-Boulder, half-Greeley (or Laramie), and now sounds like it's been totally Californicated. I still love the Cache la Poudre River canyon, 7 Utes, and the wild country beyond, and would love to get back.
Thinking though of New Mexico for retirement in 10 years, somewhat warmer climate.

New Mexico has some beautiful high-country, as well. But, I'll stay here...I actually like the cold!

Hmm, maybe down in the San Luis Valley or out in Telluride or Durango. I just don't want the Front Range sprawl.

True, true, but I think it will be a long while before these places resemble the Front Range for sprawl. I love the mountains of Colorado, but three of my favorite areas are North Park, South Park, and the San Luis valley, all ringed by mountains. Beautiful.

You will get no agrument out of me! Unfortunately, as luck would have it, I am not independently wealthy(YET!!), and must suffer through the rigors of a J.O.B., in the Denver area, in order to maintain the lifestyle to which I have become acustom. Luckily, the escape to God's Country is conveniently quick!

Sorry nobody else ever sampled the TS resources of Colorado. Looks like you have forced me to admit to my advanced age and wax nostalgic a bit.
My first real sexual experience with T-girls was in Denver. Now I had seen, met, and made-out with T Girls in New Orleans (the police strike Mardi Gras of 1979) and even had my wallet lifted by a not so nice one, but didn't go all the way. Quite by accident I discovered a dive bar on East Colfax called the Stardust Lounge about 1981 or 82. It was stocked with transvestites, genderfucks, lipstick lesbian tranny chasers, and a couple of real lookers. I spent a drunken New Years Eve kissing them indiscriminately. My favorite was a long haired, tall, early transitioning girl who was attracted to me (we made such a nice tall-matched couple) but suspicious that I was just another horned up macho asshole at heart. Eventually I picked up a blonde baseball boobed honey just up from N'Orleans cause she heard the Colorado guys were so hot. We had fun.
Time and I moved on until 1994 I was single again and back in Denver without much to inhibit me. There was a new joint off Colfax (it was gone in two years) that was run by a gorgeous black TS Denver native (Delilah?). She was off the market but flirtatious and seemed determined to be my TS yenta. Re-met my old long haired unconsumated sweetie. Her hair was past her ass now and boobs about the nicest I ever felt on a shemale. I shocked to realize that she must have still been in high school the first time I met her. Fortunately she still liked older guys. We might have really got soething together but for her alcoholism and my philandering.
I moved on again and got married. I still remember Colorado as the apex of my sex life with both XX-chromosome and TS women.

I love Telluride, Cortez, Silver City, Durango.
But I've heard Colorado, especially western Co. is very transphobic. A trans girl was murdered around Cortez a few years ago.
What's up with that?
Hugs,

That area, also known as "The Four Corners" is heavily infiltrated by Arians, rednecks, bikers, and unruly citizens avoiding aprehension. In many ways...still the old west. The party's in Denver, girls!!!

yes some parts of colorado has a trans bias but denver has seen less and less phobia and apprehension, many males here now feel that transgendered women should be treated as equally as we treat women.

My kinda place... Now where did I put my six gun?
I went through there a couple of years ago, spent the night in Cortez and again in that indian town south of Monument Valley - nobody ever gave an indication of making me - they are probably used to ugly women who can kick the boys ass so I just blended right in. Damm that's a cold wind...
Giggle,
