why is this guy(troll) allowed to do this..personally i think his is tryin to dumb down the media so bad that people wont believe the news anymore...muckrakers of the world unite?

But don't you think it's much more efficient if all the news and opinions we read is filtered through, say, just three or four conglomerates?

I'm concerned about it as well. If you watch Fox News' analysis of the financial markets, some of it is worth watching, but a lot of it is quite bad and appears to be driven by an agenda. Fox was a year behind the curve when it came to the economy getting "Greenspanned." Fox News routinely ignores vital economic data that doesn't server the Bush Administration's agenda.

My suggestion: Check out the Financial Times. It's more objective than any US periodical and far more international in its orientation (no periodical is completely free of bias though). This is critical now that investment trends show investors increasingly diversifying away from US markets. You might want to check out the Economist as well. Together, this bifecta has served me very well.

from time to time i get me a copy of the pink paper-the financial times-i do like the international coverage...and yeah i think murdoch wants the public to ultimately believe his news monopoly or to not believe news at all(n.y.post)so that people can become a much more complacent "market"..
