I didn't read the thread, but I got feedback that people were bitching and whining about it; here's the thing. Alot of us were in that chatroom, on a daily/nightly basis having a good time, and that's something I don't want to lose.

1- get a damn popup blocker. there are free and "free" ones out there that you can download.

2- is your computer up to date? has it got the latest software for the application to run?

3- its gonna remain empty if people keep joining and going "oh its empty" - close browser. why not just hang in there and see if any one arrives. the more people that visit and see there is some one in there, the fuller it will get.

people have to winge and whine. for some its becuause they have nothing better to do. others think it makes them feel superior or better in themselves. some just do it because they can or they feel the need.

I absolutely loved the chatroom. I know when I was there, you had Leora, Hara, Alison, Jennifer English, Johnny, Sky, and many others chatting away . I was down when Hara shared the news that we weren't using the room anymore. It's good to hear that it's staying around. Thanks Johnny. I never had problems with the room really. I'm using firefox and XP, with my wireless card.

What exactly is the problem with the one here? When it was first installed, it worked fine -- on any browser if I remember correctly. Why not fix this one? ...The first problem it encountered was its underuse. The novelty of it eventually wore out.

hell, that chatroom is web-based. u can reach it and use it via any current web-browser u dont have to download additional software for its use.

i say its there, it was a great finding of Hara_Jku_tgirl in an attempt to create more interaction for visitors of this board. so try it out and if you dont like it dont go there.

I agree with everything you've said Traumatism. The problem with some people is that they can perfect complaining about something yet doesnt have the initiative to do something about it. Im guessing because someone else thought about bringing together a chat for HA members they dispise the idea that they werent the one's who thought about it first. :roll:

I wanted to do something NICE to HA members and in a way get to know posters beyond reading their post. I meant well yet somehow people moan about it. Actually, that response came from considerable difficulties I had trying to find the Paltalk room last night, and the fact that... well, let's just say I had heard some things that are unsettling regarding the Paltalk room, which your last post has pretty much confirmed. Yesterday, I signed up with Paltalk largely doubting what I had heard was true, but now that I know I was wrong...

I'm not about to play the sycophant to anyone, much less to some of these ladies, who desperately need to check themselves before they spout the bullshit they so frequently do. And from what you've said, if I "keep it real", I'll get booted from Paltalk, so there's no point in me going now is there? If it works for other people, so be it. I've got no problem with that. It's just not for me.

Anyway, as Hara said, last night a number of people were having a blast talking about any number of things, when all kinds of inappropriateness was leveled at the room. There was no need for it, there was no humor in it, and it would indeed have gotten a male banned. And enough is enough, as it's nothing new.

I've found if you open a new window and access the chatroom quickly, it will work. It's when you use the same one to browse for a while and then try to access the chatroom that I receive the error message.
