It's strange. I've done my fair share of ass-kicking on these forums, particularly on the Politics pages (as some of my friends here may attest) but I've never felt the urge to attack unprovoked. My arguments are based on logic and my comebacks are just things I hear or think off the top of my head. I think wit can go a long way to winning a verbal joust. It can also go some way towards ending an argument if used properly. There is one member (who posts mostly in the Politics forum) who mostly I get along with despite once being at loggerheads with. I don't like animosity to run deep. A nice quick fight and then we can move on.

And that should be the point of the the Flight Club. Release your aggression against someone once and for all and then get on with life. Bad feelings should not go on for months.

There is one member on these forums who I will never agree with and I try to avoid him as much as possible. I've tried to lay down my sword, I've played nice, I've offered the olive wreath, but it's no use. So every now and then I might voice my opinion but I'm not going to get into any more arguments.

I feel the Fight Club can help these forums to run smoothly, effectively taking the fight outside the threads and into this dark and dingy cellar. A quick verbal joust- then we move on. Fights will go on as long as they have to. But there's no need to let it drag.

So if that's what you guys are doing, by all means. But if this is going to spill out into other threads once again, what's the point?

Hey, it's not my fault that guy sucks at Fight Club.
