In the relatively near future, the entertainment industry has tons of things coming our way, some good, some bad, some downright horrific.
That said, is there anything you're particularly looking forward to, or desperately trying to avoid?

Just a few upcoming gems (or duds, depending on how you look at it)...

Resident Evil: Extinction
A Grey's Anatomy spin-off
Transformers
Hostel: Part II
The Hulk sequel
Iron Man
Heroes: Season 2
The Sarah Silverman Show: Season 2
Another "Batman" sequel, retconning the Joker's origins
A Wonder Woman movie (rumored)
Another Ashlee Simpson album
Another Whitney Houston album?
Another Britney Spears album?
An all-new Bionic Woman TV show
A TV show built around the Geico cavemen
Another season of that show Jennifer Love Hewitt stars on (maybe)
Another season of "The Simple Life"
A Da Vinci Code sequel
AVP: 2 (Aliens vs. Predator sequel)

Isn't the new Hulk movie going to have Ed Norton in it?

That's what I read. It's also supposed to feature an "improved" Hulk, which I suppose means he'll look less cartoon-like than he did in the last movie with Eric Bana.

Hostel Two has a nice twist in the end. Enough to make you wince.
That's the only thing on that list worth seeing.

What part will Stan Lee play?

He was the security guard in the first one.

Elsewise...

A sequel to Davinci Code? Was there a second book? I know, I'm out of the loop on this.

The Geico cavemen series intrigues me, but I think it will fall flat. In thirty and sixty-second snippets they are great, but morphing from seconds to minutes could doom the concept.

Any thoughts on who might play Wonder Woman or the Bionic Woman? I smell another Angelina Jolie vehicle in either one.

Paris Hilton is a hotel, not an actress.

I was surprised to read about a Da Vinci Code sequel in the New York Post yesterday, as I didn't think the first movie did well enough to warrant a second one. Who knows if it's really a done deal or not though, as many times there are working scripts that never amount to the completion of an actual movie.

As far as the Bionic Woman TV show, that's a definite, as NBC has it listed as an upcoming show, and first promoted it during the Heroes season finale. Regarding the possible Wonder Woman film, I've read about it being in the works for at least two years now, but don't know if it's gotten any farther than a script yet really, although I did read that Charlize Theron was being considered for the lead role at one point. I'd say the chances of the movie actually coming out are pretty good, seeing as how superhero films have done relatively well of late. And note, I never said when some of these projects would come to a theater, TV or iPod near you folks...

Also, I forgot to add Aliens vs. Predator 2 to my original list, and I will admit I'm looking forward to that one personally.

Hollywierd does funny shit. The only surpises are the ones that are actually =good=.

I will rent/watch anything with Audrey Tautou in it. I get hard just thinking about those big, round, dark eyes of hers. Hopefully, if D.C. gets a sequel, she will be in it.

OK, she could be the next Lindsay Wagoner. :)

Agreed, but who could have pulled off Aeon Flux better, really? I think if Charlize had any clue what Aeon Flux was about before she started filming it would've helped a lot, but then, I watched the cartoon, and wasn't too sure what it was about myself. Still, it was better than Ultraviolet, IMO.

How about just make a decent theatrical movie for a change that has a plot with decent acting that doesn't cater to the bonehead public with stupid special effects. And it isn't 3 fucking hours long like that waste of screen footage, Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Three! Three movies of the same gay pirate! Unfuckingbelievable!

I think they greenlit a remake of Conan the Barbarian that is supposedly truer to R.E. Howard's books i.e no love interest for Conan, a more mercenary Conan.

I'm also interested in what the hell they are going to do with the last season of Battlestar Galactica.

Iron Man- Might be good, I still think Robert Downey Jr. can pull Tony Stark.

Transformers- As I see more trailers, the less interested I become for some reason. I'll prolly still go see it, but I'm getting that feeling about it.

I got busy with something or other last year, and missed an episode of Battlestar Galactica. It had already gotten less interesting by that point though, and I never came back. Now you're saying there's only one more season, huh? Wow. Guess I wasn't the only one who got sick of it then.

The Iron Man stuff I've seen, as well as the Transformers stuff, ensures that if I ever see either one, it'll be thanks to my Netflix membership. I hate when, for sake of a movie, the origins, motivations and so forth of a character (or characters) are completely re-written.

Yeah, Battlestar Galactica started off really strong last season, then it turned into WTF? They revealed who the final five cylons were, it was Col. Tigh, The Chief, The Indian chick that's Roslyn's aide, the guy that is married to Starbuck and somebody else. But after an season finale like that, I gotta know how it's going to end.

Prison Break did that too....it was just bugged. That's a show that should've ended after two seasons. But....still gotta see where they're going with it.

I didn't even know they'd revealed the final five Cylons... And now that I do know, Battlestar Galactica is definitely on my list of "must not see" TV. What a disappointment after a much hyped beginning...

actually, it's not a Davinci Code sequel. It's Angels & Demons. Different book. Same author same main character. MUCH better book. It also came out before Davinci code.

The FF sequel... I dunno about that one. As far as Harry Potter films, I've never been a fan, but I am looking forward to AVP: 2.

This cute African chick. Billie Piper left the show and they wrote her out with a "trapped in an alternate universe" storyline.
