This is just an observation. Im a longtime resident of NYC. My GG and I used to go to Edelweis(11th Ave.) and then Nowbar. She turned me into a great lover of transgender women. About a year and a half ago I split NYC and moved to Hollywood Hills. And now I'm living in Las Vegas (not too far from the Lounge).

Last week everyone came in for the AVN's. My friend from LA came and was signing at the show. She's a genetic girl, but we walked the show together and went out a couple of times and we spoke about my conclusion about the transgender scene and what is so frustrating.

While I don't personally know the superstars of the TS world, I have been in their company at parties or bars etc. And lately I've been hanging at the Las Vegas Lounge. Last week I walked in and Allanah, Gia and Joana were there. It all gets obvious when you're around people like that. That goes for Wendy and Danielle too.

I've had long term relationships with TS women. Very few short-term ones, meaning I'm not a trick. And I don't have a problem with any of the porn or hustling. In this society, girls have fewer options. But my problems with the majority of the girls are, they are shallow. They gravitate toward thug behavior. They don't take care of themselves. They center their world around hustling and nothing else. They wear ignorance on their sleeves, and most important to me is that they are rude.

Example. There are many girls in Las Vegas that are having their breasts done. No surprise there. I'm happy for them. But here and elsewhere but especially here.....work on your teeth first!. I know it's expensive but a girl only has her smile. Also, I wish they woud talk nice. Don't be abrasive. And I wish they would keep informed about something other than their own little scene. Be able to talk about things. And realize their value beyond sex. And I don't want to give you money but am polite to you in every way....DON'T BE RUDE. And easy on the drugs. PLEASE. If you can't quit don't spend all your money on drugs. It's sickening. There is one of the most beautiful girls in the world here that flies in and out to score her drugs. How she stays so pretty is beyond me.

There's much more to say, but I say this because in a split second, the other night, THE DIFFERENCE, became so clear. I would consider marrying any of the following girls maybe, not because of their looks. No way! But because of the the most important reason....because of WHO THEY ARE AS PEOPLE. Allanah, to be honest was never my type until now. She seems to have a fun fun fun personality. But she has brains, handles herself with dignity, and talks about all kinds of great stuff. And get this....she LISTENS too! And doesn't get sloppy. In a word she is a first class BABE. Gia, well, sweet, demure, perfect. First class LADY. Joana, this was a huge surprise to me. Not only was I never attracted to her and had not seen her in person, but I thought she would be different. Well I'm hugely attracted to her now. She's a petite fireplug. I'm sorry something was bothering her and she left abruptly. But she is very very very smart. First class WOMEN.

Point here is that you can put them in a room with any segment of the population and even if they are a bit flamboyant at the time, it is by their choice and they still fit in with ease and grace. And all the other local girls at the Lounge that night looked on with envy. Really. But they thought they envied them because of their sex appeal, notoriety and all. But that because they're short sighted. What they envied without knowing it was seeing poetry in motion. A complete package of grace and dignity that commands attention and lets their beauty flourish. Regardless of their looks, if all girls first aspired to that, everything would take care of itself.

Sorry for the blogging here.

I was in the bar with the girls that night (one of the only two guys with a suit in there) with some of the other photographers and we were in town shooting new models and reshoots. Vegas is different to work in than any other city. The majority (not all) of the girls more lazy, more unreliable and more interested in drugs than making money than most of the cities we work in. We had almost a 50% no-show ratio of girls agreeing to show up (up to 2 hrs before the shoot) and the either not showing or arriving 4 hrs late.
If we work in LA, Florida, New Orleans or NYC we have closer to a 95% show rate (ok they're still late but not by 4 hrs).
What sort of person is attracted to living in Las Vegas? Certainly, I couldn't do it. It's ok for a few days but anymore than that and I'd go crazy. However, if does seem to attract a certain group of people who are looking for a lifestyle, including our late photographer, Bob who was as unreliable as most of the girls he worked with.
We did end up getting a good bunch of shoots but nowhere near what we planned.
Some of the girls at the lounge stand out among the rest (Lisa the MC in particular) but many as you rightly state, hang in their little cliques and show little interest.
Allanah, Gia, Joanna (as well as Wendy and the other girls at the AVN show) are among the exceptions. They work to promote themselves and their product and they know how important it is to promote their image and themselves. They're some of the few girls I'd regard as friends and feel comfortable going out for dinner, socialising outside of the porn workplace.
