I wonder why? They don't seem to venture much north of Manchester/Leeds.

Not much of a selection in Manchester either if you're asking me, mate......

I work a variation of the Mohammed system-- as in "if the mountain will not come to Mohammed, then Mohammed must go to the mountain,"

except mine is

"If the girls will not come to MacShreach, then MacShreach must persuade a client to send him to where the girls are......."

That was how I first discovered Barcelona.

Is Alex Salmond a landmark? Surely he's not that overweight.

Actually, I'm all for devolution or whatever you call it. Plus, I've tried haggis (in the Deacon Brodie Taven on the Royal Mile no less), and- most importantly- I think Sean Connery is the only Bond worth watching.

So there you go. :D

I think I meant "landmark moment." It's a fascinating time to be here, I kid you not. Nobody really knows what's going to happen.....For better or worse, it's certainly not dull.

Deacon Brodie's is cool, many a starry night spent in there, and you are dead right about Bond.

There is a pub in Edinburgh called the Muscular Arms but which everybody knows as the Gravediggers (long story) if you are a fan of beer go there next time you're in town-- just ask any taxi driver.......you order McEwan's 80/- "Electric Soup."

And when they pour you out the door with a pair of rubber legs and a silly grin, think of me.....

We have real style in the UK. As you can see grand openings always have a huge turnout attracting some of the area's true socialites.

Well it's obvious isn't it. The women felt intimidated by my natural beauty. And the men were distracted.

Ohh yea...I spent most of my student grant in that place! I hear there are some cool places in the Cannongate nowadays. Back then it was mostly warm beer and a packet of cheese & onion crisps and back to my digs, unlaid, pissed and poor! ;-)

ohh...and pls don't bother replying "so what's changed since?"

im from the ''unattractive'' side of town
