Well, I'll step up and say something. I was not sure of what you're asking, but it seems that you are asking about the differences between the Personals Forum and the General Forum here.

That depends on what you are looking for. But there is nothing but time to stop you from using both. But to me the General one is the most interesting. You get to know something about peoples personalities from their posts. You also establish your own self when you post your opinions.

One issue with personals and direct contact only is that people can present a false image of themselves. Even in real life direct meetings people do this. In a general discussion, people reveal more of thier true selves over time. This is assuming that you want more in life than quickie sex. And even in that case, getting to know the person first might help you avoid some major problems.
