Same here. First I've heard of it. Hell, I don't really watch BBC anyways. Maybe I should start?

BBC America has alot of interesting shows really. ;) That one was only one of them. I liked it alot..for a documentary it's a good watch especially for those who has kids and dating a transexual or are planning to adopt. :P
There was another tg themed aired back in 2004 titled The Woman In Me - BBC1 One Life. A touching and thought-provoking portrait of a small group of friends – part of the tightly knit transvestite community in northern Britain. The film goes inside a closed and secretive world to provide a unique insight into what makes cross-dressers tick, and the challenges of leading a double life.
Producer/Director: Patricia Doherty

thats fuck up big time
How's that fucked up? It'll be no different than when a gay couple (man-man/woman-woman) try to have or adopt and raise a child. Just because they dont look "pornish" doesnt mean society should discredit them in their ability to love, nurture, provide and care for raising children.

The BBC has some really great shows and reportage. I have not seen this but it does sound quite interesting.
Didn't they air that a few months ago? It's been a hectic year but seems I ran across while channel surfing a while back?

I was recently talking with a girl who wants to have SRS because she wants to adopt children and doesn't feel it's right for a child to have a mom with "something extra", two mommies or 2 daddies. This was an unexpected view from a transsexual.Personally, I think the traditional family units importance is being belittled.

I could symphatize with her and her views. Im guessing that she wants to have a "normal" and traditional family sucka4chix. ;)
But as they say.."Different strokes for different folks."
