View Full Version : B-WARE of the Tranny Lurker
Thuggish_Intellect

It seems that we have a lot of transsexual lurkers on this message board, who only post when someone attacks transsexuals, makes a comment about them not to their liking, or when they're posting about business. I just wanted to say that is sooooooooooooo wack (wack = ebonic for bad).
If you'd like to be looked at differently, try posting and conversating more in general with the guys, with the other girls, with the mods, etc. I think this is one of the more lively boards I participate on (and actually the only sex related site I post on). I personally love to see good quality banter/interaction amongst the different and diverse groups of people. I've also come to be pleasantly suprised by interacting with a few of the girls in here...for example (even though most might not think it's that big of a deal) I didn't know some of the girls had a thing for Hip Hop, I didn't know Hip Hop was played at Allanah's parties (I always think of New York as techno related) and didn't know Allanah was soooooo down to earth.
So type up a little...get involved...don't just stick to atypical "how big is your cock post" (which actually disgust me)...if you don't like the content/topic, change it up...speak about it...

Face it, this place is more like a locker room than a cocktail party. I've tried starting new conversations which usually grind to a halt, or adding to exisiting ones, which devolve into personal attacks and name calling. No one likes being snapped at with a verbal wet towel
While I have felt welcome here, I have to say I have been underwhelmed by the response. It really seems like most of the posters here only want pictures or sexual talk. and the only girls they want to hear from are girls they have seen in videos or on eros. Its that way on another board I am on. So much so, that I almost never post there anymore, and a friend of mine who was very active there has stopped posting entirely.
I'm still going to post here. but I pick my spots. Maybe this is like asking leopards to change their spots, but if the men here would elevate their level of discussions, you'd see more girls posting here.

I have to agree with Felicia. A lot of the topics here are about pictures or cock size or something like that. Also, a lot of the posts are NYC specific and I'm in and out of a lot of cities, but call none home. But your point is well taken.

YESSSSS, THE BOARD NEEDS MORE GIRLS, PREFERABLY YOUNGER GIRLS & FOR THAT MATTER, "NON-INDUSTRY" GIRLS...AS WE HEAR A LOT, ANECDOTALLY ABOUT T-GIRLS THAT HAVE REGULAR JOBS AND THAT ARE IN HEALTHY, MONOGAMOUS RELATIONSHIPS BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR THEM TO GIVE ADVICE AND ENLIGHTEN MEN WHO ARE INTERESTED IN T-GIRLS AS POSSIBLE LIFETIME PARTNERS...
...Face it, this place is more like a locker room than a cocktail party...
YESSSSS, I CAME TO THIS SITE, WITH MY GIRL, TO VIEW ALLANAH'S PARTY PICS...AND AFTER SEEING THE VARIOUS TOPICS, I SAW NO REASON TO POST ON THIS SITE...SO IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I SAW SUBJECTS ABOUT DATING AND OTHER TG SPECIFIC ISSUES BEING DISCUSSED...AND WHAT WAS EVEN MORE SURPRISING WAS SEEING ABSOLUTE SHADE TELLING THE DUDES WHAT THE GIRLS WERE REALLY THINKING AND CRITIQUING THE PICTURES...MY GIRL LOVES SHADES POSTS BTW...

What does "non-industry" mean?
NOT IN THE SEX BUSINESS...SOME GIRLS ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE "LOCKER ROOM MENTALLITY" BUT THE ONLY WAY THESE GUYS KNOW YOU IS THROUGH YOUR WORK IN THE INDUSTRY...WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?...IT'S SORTA LIKE WHEN JAMES GANDOLFINI (TONY SOPRANO)WALKS DOWN THE STREET AND EVERYONE YELLS OUT "HEY TONY!!!!!"...PEOPLE DON'T SEPERATE ENTERTAINERS FROM THE CHARACTERS THEY PORTRAY...
And what does that have to do with someone's ability to carry on a smart conversation?
WHERE DOES THIS COME FROM?

Oh my gawd, what did I just post in the NFL site about my last visit to Peanuts and the girl I left with that night to the comfort and warmth of her motel room ?!
(Just kidding around, folks) ;)
Felicia -- Love that new avatar. Wow! I think I do remember you once or twice from my few visits to Peanuts. My visibility of who's in the club is rather limited to one part of the club being that I generally remain in the booth nearest to the restroom for some reason. I think it's because one can see all the action from that vantage point, be it on the dance floor, or who's entering the back bars or restrooms ... Girls also do the primp thang all night long ya know. :)
Anyway, are you doing the get-together on the 17th that wantats wants to organize ? I would love to meet you and a few of the others. I'm going to try to make it, but at this point it looks like a no go. It's really a bad time of the year for me. I hope he's not disappointed in case I can't make it. We'll see. A person is not their job. Its what they do, not who they are. Just because a girl works in adult entertainment does not make her shady or flaky. Many of the girls here who post are all smart, driven, motivated and successful. Those qualities are not dilluted because of their jobs. nor is the value of their perspectives on the issues discussed here diminished.

Ha-ha! Aren't you the clever creative one with that flirting/committing line ?! You go. girl! I hope I do make it for the get-together. :)
Danielle -- Rick Ashley is a far better guess than Aha. It's neither, but I guess if one combines Rick's vocals with Aha's tempos, you'd probably have a sound such as Londonbeat, as Hingsing correctly noted. How am I supposed to be proactive to something like that? You want girls to participate more or to have more girls participate, and look at what we have to deal with? Rude comments by one person, and the very next poster just overlooks them, says nothing to that person, or about his comment, and then asks the girl who was just insulted to play a greater part in the board??
I know why girls stay away from here. I'm starting to question why I shouldn't do the same.

If you are going to post in a forum on the internet where it is easy to hide behind a TV screen you need to have a thick skin or the ability to let comments roll off your shoulder.
If you are going to make a comment, especially in a forum like this, you should have a reasonable idea how the person on the other side will take the comment.
One thing I have noticed about this forum is that a lot of people do not have thick skins and easily take things the wrong way. If you filter out the pr0n and the yelling there is some very intelligent conversation made by very intelligent people.
I try to remember that it is not how many posts but the quality that counts.

Zerr, I try to not be too "thin skinned", but an unsolicited insult, especially in a thread about how women should do more on the board, is a little much.

Felicia,
You should have that freedom. Unfortunately, as with any board, the tone is taken from the moderators. I am a part of boards with weak mods and with strong mods. If the weak mods are not careful conversations often degenerate into namecalling and insults. On strong mod boards people complain about conversation being stifled.
It is not my place to say but maybe there should be another folder where the pr0n pics can go and leave general discussion just that. I would hate to lose some of the more intelligent posters and have the board degenerate into finger pointing and name calling.
Or maybe add an ignore button.

I hear you, Felicia. Your posts are often among the most intelligent posts on the board. I don't blame you for wondering why you don't stay away (but I really hope you don't choose to; the forum would be much less interesting without your input). Yes, that post was unnecessarily rude. But I think many of us would rather move on to good posts and ignore the bad than beat that drum: so often, replying to a negative post fuels that fire, and I for one would rather ignore it than feed it. Flame wars are so common here, why fan that fire? But otoh, yes, I agree he was rude and more of us should speak up.
BTW, I tried to post this response last night, when the server suddenly became unavailable again. So here's hoping it goes through this time.

Actually Felicia, I noticed the ignorant comment. However, unlike you I know that people who make such absurd and rude comments only want you to fall on there level so I pay it no mind. Remember, immitation is the best form of flattery...And as for attacks against people on here, hey I haven't been exempt from it. I've seen people post deragatory messages about blacks and latinos on here. Am I offended? Not one bit. They don't know me personally so I don't take it to heart. Some guys just see girls - be they GG or T-girls - as whores and objectify them as such. The thing is that they are quite often able to get away with it...and it carries over into any forum (online or otherwise) that they are in.
If you look thru magic9inch's posts he's quite often calling for cock and more cock....like some kind of man-bitch.....so it stands to reason that he doesn't really see a person - only a cock (which I guess should be used only for his gratification). And actually he's not the only one.
Thuggish probably has the best solution and that is simply to ignore base statements. Eventually the offender will either go away or change their tactic. After all they can't be cornered and beaten senseless in cyberworld
