Good one, TFan. As Homer Simpson would say, "It's funny because it's true."
The religion I practice is Christianity. That is to say, genuine Christianity, per Jesus Christ's commandments--quite unlike most who call themselves "Christians."
The reason I practice this religion is because it is simply following the truth to its utmost--as Jesus Christ said, no one comes to the Father except via truth. But even so, there is nothing more hated in this world than the truth, which is why Jesus Christ and His early followers were all put to death.
Jesus Christ is simply the personification of truth, as well as an actual person who walked the Earth. Those who think they have salvation by worshiping the name "Jesus" have totally failed to grasp Christ's message. First of all, Jesus in an Anglicism of Yeshua or Yehoshua, and so those who think worshiping a certain person by a certain name will bring them salvation and who do so by worshiping "Jesus" are thereby worshiping the wrong person. Rather, Jesus Christ said that He *is* the truth. The only way to worship Jesus Christ is by following the feared, hated, and dangerous truth to the end. If one does so then one is a Christian, regardless of what name one chooses to call oneself. If one does not do so, then one is not a Christian, even if one should like to believe oneself a Christian.
For much more on this, particularly see the first section of my below article:

I observe all of them and let the dog out when their representatives come in the yard soliciting my money or my soul.

wasnt LIBERALITY one of the seven virtues for christians, while gluttony and pride(see halliburton and d.cheney) sins?
"Liberality"?
No. The foundation of Christianity is the words and revelation of god as they are documented in the bible.
The living word.

i keep my mind open, but i don't believe in fairy tales.
I'm an occasionally lapsing Christian. As a scientist, I am a bit of a skeptic about most things (such as faith-healers, miracles etc) but I like the New Testament's key message. I think the most important thing that Christ taught was love and I try to stick to that, but it is difficult- especially when people piss me off.
I don't go for the more dogmatic stuff. I think Jesus was a pretty easygoing guy and I don't think he'd care much for labels, for regulations or for strict adherence to an unwritten morality. I don't think Jesus would appreciate his name being used to do bad things or to judge people. And I don't agree with those who say that only Christians can be good people. I have met many moral and decent, honest Jews, Muslims and Buddhists and a fair few dishonest and selfish so-called Christians.
I also subscribe to John Stuart's Mill's thoughts on liberty. I think people should be free do as they please so long as they do not hurt anyone. It is up to every individual. Sometimes doing something morally wrong will boomerang on the person doing it even if no one else is affected (for example drinking too much will put your health at risk) but then it is up to then individual to decide. I therefore oppose censorship and favour relaxing the legislation on drugs. Laws should be here to protect people (eg. those who have to breath in passive smoke or are put at risk by a drunken driver) but in your own home, it is up to you to choose whether you want to drink, smoke etc.
Finally, I believe that God is everywhere in nature. I subscribe to neo-Darwinism but believe that there must have been something before the big bang. As such, every little piece of everything demonstrates the wonder of God as I see Him.
Sometimes it might seem difficult explaining how all these disparate threads of different beliefs connect, but for me they do. And that is my religion, whatever you might call it.

Christianity but I'm Interdenominational. My family was heavy in religion so I was brought up around it and I just see how much happiness it brings to people that truly believe which has kept me believing. I've had my doubts like anyone else, but I also have my faith. Granted I'm not as holy as the next man but I try.

I'm a bright atheist.
Cogito ergo sum... can't go further on that issue.
What is a bright?
- A bright is a person who has a naturalistic worldview
- A bright's worldview is free of supernatural and mystical elements
- The ethics and actions of a bright are based on a naturalistic worldview
