I wanna know which one do you use and why?
I use XP.It was already instaled on my PC when i bought it.But i gonna install Suse Linux in the near future. It has a sensational 3D-XGL Desktop(a cube you can rotate) http://en.opensuse.org/Welcome_to_openSUSE.org

I´m gonna try Open BSD as well.Supposed to be the safest operating system.www.openbsd.orgI saw screenshots of skins that looked like Mac.

I totally agree, but for reliability no Microsft OS will ever be able compete. If it's mission critical, it's almost never run on Windows.

Using Vista, as it works just fine for me. I didn't pay for it as I was a beta tester.

If not I'd probably still use XP, but Vista has many improvements that you only really notice through long term usage.

yeah I've used it, which is a pain in the arse to set up, but is a nice little gimmick, but what really is the benefit of that over a virtual desktop. I don't take in GUI based eye candy as an improvement, just a gimmick that gets boring after a couple of days

As i posted earlier i haven´t instaled it yet.My harddrive was way to full.Guess with what hehe.
I read about Linux in several pc-mags.It´s more stable, safer and for sure not less comfortable then Windows. You can install it beside Windows and decide everytime you start the pc which operating system you choose. You can even seize from Linux to your data on the Windows partition.
Want to use Windows software on Linux?Use Wine.A little less performance but it is supposed to work with most of the programs.http://www.winehq.com/

The poll should allow checkboxes (multiple answers), and there should be at least two or three choices for Mac (OS 9, OS X, OS X Leopard). Moved all my servers and laptops to Ubuntu, but left my main workstation as XP. I've no plans to implement Vista: it seems a waste.

I've finally got a laptop with enough juice to run beryl, but haven't done so yet. Over the years I've run nearly everything. Switched to Linux after loving FreeBSD for a few years. Linux has mindshare behind it: more hardware and flexibility.

I'll probably move everything to Ubuntu within two years, since console gaming over the Internet is the future--PC gaming has jumped the shark.
