11:25 here and its just starting they are calling for 24 to 36 in . there are spots up here with 11 FT yes FEET !!! gotta love the great northeast.....

We got maybe 4" (of snow!) here in central Mass before it flipped to sleet and freezing rain this morning. Going to be an icy mess, yuck. But up north in VT, NH, and inland Maine they're expecting 12"-24".

A couple of winters back Boston got hit with a 20" snowstorm when my favorite tgirl companion came to visit. I warned her that Boston had 20" and she replied, "I've got six and a half!" Her 6.5" trumped the 20"....

It snowed all day yesterday, up to 3 feet in some spots(windy as hell yesterday piled up snow dunes all around and against my apartment).......I was only expecting about 3 inches, from forecast. Winter is about over. I like rain alot more than snow.

just an update

the city underestimated the freezing rain and most of the city is stuck, cars & trucks are sliding everywhere, it's insane

the joke is Thursday & Friday will be sunny and windy meaning this mini icestorm will be wiped out by 3pm tomorrow

yes global warming, ya gotta love it

wondering what all those folks on craigs list are doing right now, those ads aren't doing shit for them at this point unless the clients driving a hummvee

well, 12:30 am wed and it looks like 28 inches here wish it was rain now the wind is blowing . Just got a call and well vacation is over back to work at 8 am bridge work in the snow and wind sucks!!!!!!!!!. 2 weeks in bed was nice but gotta pay the ladys.......Y>E>M.

You should try living here near Belfast! 1 Inch of snow fell last year & the country ground to a halt!! (The 'road service' apologised for missing the weather forcast & failed to get the road gritters out in time!)
Took me over 2 hours to drive 36 miles!

No snow here (To speak of) but I had to evacuate to the local Red Roof (E knows the place) because the town was crippled by downed power lines. Quite the light show, looked like a lightning storm.

No lights, no heat, no water, no phone, no cable. Had to fight my way out of the house as one of the birch trees had frozen and leaned down against the front door. Had to work the car out from under two more which, two days later, are still blocking half the street. I don't expect they will melt and spring back for a couple more days. Assuming they spring back. :roll:

Power's back and roads are clear, but still no phone service.
