The USA may be 48 hours away from electing its first woman to the Office of Presidency -last week the Conservative Party elected its fourth woman to lead it -and there have been three female Prime Ministers- and the first Black woman with African heritage to lead a political party in the United Kingdom.

This is without doubt an historic achievement for the Conservative Party, which at one time was so 'naturally' racist, that when, in the 1990s, a Black man was selected to be its MP in Cheltenham Spa, members of the local Association resigned, and the poor man lost a safe seat to the Liberal Democrats at the election.

Since David Cameron's reforms the Party has not only accepted a greater diversity of candidates than can be found in most other Conservative Parties, especially the USA, we have had to accept that a lot of minority people can even be Conservative, share Murdoch's view that Markets know better than Governments, and be appalled at the wasteful spending of tax payers money by Govt. That doesn't make them right, though they will say otherwise.

Is Badenoch the new Maggie Thatcher? She says no. She claims to believe in free market enterprise, but as with most of today's Confused Conservatives she wants the State to retire from people's lives, while inserting it back it when it comes to Trans Rights which are also Individual Rights -something the actor David Tennant criticized her for. Her retort was to refer to him as a "rich, left white male celebrity" as if playing Hamlet and many other celebrated roles did not amount to much, while others suggested she not make Dr Who angry. Bring on the Daleks! (some of whom are sitting behind her in the House of Commons, mentioning no names, Mark Francois).

How long will her abrasive style last? She has a good chance of making Labour look clumsy, contradictory on policy and for a lot of people, very expensive, because that is what Labour is right now, though who knows if their economic policy will in fact make us all better off in, say, 4 years time?

And will she still be leader of the party in 4 years time? After all, she is the 6th person to lead the Conservatives since Cameron and the Brexit debacle, so the omens are not good.
