The Heritage Foundation boasts-

"The 2025 Presidential Transition Project is being organized by The Heritage Foundation and builds off Heritage’s longstanding “Mandate for Leadership,” which has been highly influential for presidential administrations since the Reagan era. Most recently, the Trump administration relied heavily on Heritage’s “Mandate” (https://www.heritage.org/impact/trump-administration-embraces-heritage-foundation-policy-recommendations) for policy guidance, embracing nearly two-thirds of Heritage’s proposals within just one year in office."
About Project 2025 | Project 2025 (https://www.project2025.org/about/about-project-2025/)

Whether or not they are building a platform on the basis of the heritage of the American Revolution, or trying to overhaul that Revolution by using legal powers to well, legalize what used to part of a normative and thus unwritten 'social contract' remains to be seen.

Trump himself had no idea what it meant to be President- he remains ignorant and resentful- , and it appears he was advised he could do pretty much anything he wanted if there was no specific clause or phrase in the Constitution, or law that prevented him from doing so, though when it came to the 2020 election he just didn't listen to anyone who said what he didn't like. This, I think is a key description of what went wrong, and 'the Left' had nothing to do with it-

""... the columnist [Christian Schneider] accused Trump of being a "sore loser," and fretted that the Supreme Court will plunge future presidents into a morass of what is legal and what is illegal after assuming office.Referring to the "social contract" civilized society requires for existence, he wrote, "This 'social contract' involves all the things we do, not because a law or rule directs us, but because these behaviors are necessary for society to function. Call them 'courtesy' or 'norms' or 'etiquette' or 'customs' or 'mores' — they are the unwritten rules that lubricate the political and social machine, allowing people of different opinions, backgrounds, and incentives to coexist."".
'Sore loser' Trump hammered by conservative for forcing the Supreme Court into a corner (msn.com) (https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/sore-loser-trump-hammered-by-conservative-for-forcing-the-supreme-court-into-a-corner/ar-BB1m7aS5?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=EDGEESS&cvid=e5ae404f753f48d98c84850dd92e5338&ei=31)

Project 2025 is built on 4 Pillars: a policy agenda, personnel, training, and a 180-day playbook.

"Today, the American family is in crisis. Forty percent of all children are born to unmarried mothers, including more than 70 percent of black children. There is no government program that can replace the hole in a child’s soul cut out by the absence of a father. Fatherlessness is one of the principal sources of American poverty, crime, mental illness, teen suicide, substance abuse, rejection of the church, and high school dropouts....The world has never seen a thriving, healthy, free, and prosperous society where most children grow up without their married parents. If current trends continue, we are heading toward social implosion." (Page 4).

Let's all play Happy Families. As for those absent fathers in the prosperous 1950s who never made it home from the War....

What is holding back children: no daddy, or no jobs?

"Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime. Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered." (page 5).

They're trying to dismantle the federal government and eliminate nonpartisan government employees. They want to replace our constitutional republic that separates church and state with Christian nationalism.

They're trying to dismantle the federal government and eliminate nonpartisan government employees. They want to replace our constitutional republic that separates church and state with Christian nationalism.

And yet they also seem to think they are returning to the 'original' principles and values of 1776, as in low-to-zero taxation, individual liberty, and the absence of Government in people's lives. I use the word 'seems' because they cherry-pick their way through original intentions, ignoring what they don't like, offering no contextual reading -would the 2nd Amendment have been passed if the Founding Fathers knew what a military grade weapon and bullets that explode inside the body can do to a 6-year old, as in spraying them over the walls of their classroom?- and failing to say how their 'Constitutionalism' but use repetitive use of the Community fits with the National Conservative agenda that in fact seeks to limit the powers and rights of the Individual to ensure the cohesion of the Community via God, Family and Country.

Or put another way: many Conservatives, on both sides of the Atlantic, see themselves as parties of Change, thus ensuring a fundamental contradiction. Better to call themselves 'Reversalists' as what they really want to do is Reverse all of the changes they don't like that have taken place since 1965, though some seem to think 1865 might be the key date.

And if they do assume power, expect Project 2025 to be just as incoherent and selective in its application. Just take the claim that Trump, who has publicly claimed to believe in the Sanctity of Human Life, wants to abort all of the lives of prisoners on Death Row in Federal custody. Were he to ask 'What would Jesus do?' -he might not like the answer.

"The president of the conservative think tank behind former President Donald Trump's controversial Project 2025 platform shocked the nation with a veiled threat of bloody revolution.Heritage Foundation chief Kevin Roberts appeared on the far-right streaming service Real America's Voice Tuesday to explain to viewers how conservatives were in the process of "taking the country back" from the "radical left,"
"We are in the process of the second American Revolution," Roberts says, "which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.""
'That's treason': Project 2025 leader shocks with veiled threat of bloody revolution (msn.com) (https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/that-s-treason-project-2025-leader-shocks-with-veiled-threat-of-bloody-revolution/ar-BB1plVAE?ocid=msedgntp&pc=ACTS&cvid=b5c0d98c47e0488db397e38280c1514f&ei=91)

I wonder what it is Americans like Roberts think 'the Left' or 'radical Left' is, rather than using these words as scare tactics? If Roberts had spend any time in Europe, for example, he might at least use different terms -in the days of Reagan and Bush the word 'Liberal' was used to frighten the horses and the voters, but I guess since Trump even being Liberal is not going to hack it.

Where are the proposals to bring American industries into public ownership -eg, the Petroleum Industry, Chemicals, Computing, Banking, Insurance, Coal mining, and the utilities such as Water, Gas and Electricity? There are none. All this leaves is welfare, which people like Roberts have opposed without actually doing anything when their guys were in power, or casting all 'progressive' social legislation, such as Abortion, Same-Sex Marriage, 'TransGenderISM' etc as some 'woke conspiracy' to destroy what they call 'Judeo-Christian Civilization'.

So drop the labels, and just look at the details of Project 2025, because as Roberts says, it is far more radical than anything the missing American left can conjure up.

Hmmm... I seem to recall Trump claiming he had never heard of QAnon even though he re-tweeted more than 150 of their twitz. Memory loss? Cognitive malfunction?

Or is he scared of telling the truth?

Republicans call Trump’s move to distance himself from Project 2025 ‘preposterous’ (yahoo.com) (https://uk.news.yahoo.com/republicans-call-trump-move-distance-152748415.html)

Trump claims not to know who is behind Project 2025. A CNN review found at least 140 people who worked for him are involved
