Considering the popularity of her YouTube channel, it’s totally shocking! Her initial bail was $5,000 upon arrest, but the judge reduced that to a $1,000 bond for the felony and $500 for each misdemeanor at the bail hearing. That’s a total of only $2,000. She was also given an appointed public defender, which is always means tested based on income, assets and financial obligations to dependents, balanced against the seriousness of the charges. Where I practice, anyone who makes more than ~$50k and doesn’t have kids usually can’t get a public defender, unless they’re charged with a super-serious felony.

I wouldn't say anything is really being exposed. If DeSantis' public profile hasn't been damaged over the last 3 or 4 years, throwing some trans woman, influencer or not, in jail present day over this won't do anything to do so either. That is pretty much how it works.

Obviously I like transexuals if I am visiting your forum, but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade.

I get that transexuals like to think of themselves as women, and so do the people that visit this forum.

However, we are getting away from common sense when we started sending trannies to women's' prisons.

As I said in my original post, transsexuals need to be extra careful not to break the law if they don't want to end up in men's prison (and all that entails).

I'm tired of coddling criminals (trannies included).
