I have heard of the American singer, Beyoncé but know next to nothing about her as I am not interested in that kind of music. By contrast, I have been listening to the music of Gustav Mahler for most of my life.
Here is the Fun Fact: Beyoncé may be a distant cousin of Mahler. The composer/conductor was at one time the principal conductor of the New York Philharminic and lived in the City with his wife Alma and daughter Anna, and it may be be through Anna that the American connection went further.
