The list of music to be played at President Biden's Inauguration has been published, and though I have heard of some the performers, most I have not, and as it seems to be dominated by pop, I wonder if Biden made the choice himself or created a Committee to do it. I am not sure a freezing cold January day is the best condition in which to perform and in the past my dim recollection is that the sound system isn't that good. Whatever, the list is here-

Question is, if you had to pick a tune to match the Exit of Trump, and welcome Biden, what would it be?
I did think of nominating The Doors The End, for you-know-who, but the song, though wild, is too intellligent, and I am not sure there is any music approriate for his occasion, though unlike a lot of people I often think Elgar's music must provoke suicidal thoughts in anyone unfortuate enough to listen to it. Dire Straits at full blast was one way their captors kept the hostages in Beirut 'entertained', I believe something similar has been done in Guantanamo Bay.
The Irish roots of Biden pose a problem, as the Irish love Country, and Dolly Parton's desperate, if sarcastic song 'I will always love you' would be as inapproprriate as a song of the Irish Rebellion, so I am going to pass, and assume any American interested enough to offer one will have a handy tune for these two 70-somethings....
