Multi hundreds pics photo shoots

I've noticed some sites live on photo shoots with hundreds and hundreds of pics.
Between them there are tens of pics are almost identical.
The only explanation for this can be the webmaster laziness, who take the entire folder containing images and put it online without any selection.
Which do you think is the right number of photos for a good service?

120 for a solo.
150 for a hardcore.

Some people like the photos and more is good. If we can give it to them, then great - costs us nothing more, and those who don't want the all can pick and choose.

That's a good answer, but sometimes (often) you can see tens of pics literally taken a few moments from each other that depict exactly the same "situation".

I understand. Some people just don't care - they like them all. I could do 100x more feet pics almost identical and those guys would take every single one, and complain if one didn't download.
