The Windows VR spec units have been going on sale lately, the Lenovo model was $199.00 a week or so ago and I see that the HP unit is $225 right now.

i'd love to know as well. I have the rift but I bought them used. My daughter (19 months old) has really screwed them up so I'm not that concerned with the "investment"

I can say that if a cheaper alternative to a new rift exists (other than cardboard, since i have that to....i mean, who can't fold some thick paper) that is on par, I'd go with that.

I only use my VR stuff at this point for porn.

I've been checking their website and tech articles regarding a release date for months and got nothing but "early 2018" with no specific release date... and just like that, it's out...lol
