In terms of speed, computers have stopped being developed long ago, as the limit of silicon technology is, as far as I remember, somewhere aqround 3GHz. It just does not go any faster, and sticking more components into a chip might make you capable of processing longer words or running multiple threads, etc, but that is just not the same as having a machine operating at, say a terahertz. There is also a limit to how much transistors can be put in a chip... Better quit the global warming and other communist bollocks and let people think how to really increase computers' speeds.

In earlier post you wrote:

'unfathomable changes to human civilization' within a sentence becomes 'the end of the human era' which is indeed 'fathomable', or also known as genocide, assuming the super-intelligent AI products of human intelligence decide humans are no longer necessary and wipe us out.

At what point does this hypothetical rubbish become just another movie or a tv series? It has no bearing on reality. You might as well speculate on a future with no men, as human beings evolve into a fusion of man and woman owing to all those chemicals in our food and water.

I welcome our Singularity overlord as at least it could compose forum threads and posts which are coherent and well-presented rather than the sloppy offerings in this one from the OP.

Splattering multiple copies of the same links and videos into the same post and then regurgitating them in later posts addressing different issues results in unnecessarily long page loading times and frustrates the reader.... and not for the first time.
