Have been wondering why it's just photos, some kind of FB, twitter of Tumblr link and a phone numbe. I would think that would increase the volume of calls an escort would receive asking questions that could be answered by the ad.

Though here in Canada, no such restrictions apply on the BP ads here. America, land of the free, freedom of speech, etc, etc.

That happened almost a year ago and realistically had little effect since ladies just moved their ads to the Backpage dating section once the adult section was shut down. Now looks like BP has made changes to the dating section making it annoying for both providers and clients.

That being said, Backpage still operates normally outside the US.

Cracker.com is some of sister site to backpage that is easier to advertise with as it takes debit cards instead of bitcoin.

All adds placed on cracker apear on backpage and vice versa. At least, they do in the U.K.

As Kellieblueyes says, Cracker does not seem to work in the US. I don’t know but I think that Cracker is intended as “backpage for Europe” and uses the exact same skin and the two sites duplicate each other’s adds. Cracker is a hell of a lot easier to use than backpage as a payment system and I hope it stays that way and doesn’t head the way of backpage in the US.

Ok, this went off the rails fast! My question was, why are there only numbers as the heading of the ads? It doesn't seem to be a Backpage issue as I do see some old fashioned ads. Is no one else seeing this?

The classic style ads you are seeing are the ones that were posted before the change that have not yet expired

Yeh small, but i guess its a grey area, as to the sites, if they are for dating, or casual hookups between adults.
Or are they hosting ads of escorts, sex traffic.
