Vicente Fox would be in a strong position if he had a strong record as President of Mexico, a post he held from 2000-2006. His record is not good, the economic growth he predicted did not materialize; the state failed to tackle the drugs cartels -in fact the crime and disorder escalated out of control-; corruption in public life was, and remains rampant, and one wonders what happened to the money Mexico made from oil when it was priced at $100+ per barrel.
