Two a penny, the going rate now. Back in January it was two for a dime. Difficult to know what Trump likes. He likes watching Russian whores to pissing on hotel beds. Go figure. The less the peso's worth, the more incentive Mexicans have to cross the border. Business and government used to respond to problems by creating appropriate incentives. Now we giggle in the night, listening to the house creak and wait for the fat orange toddler's next creepy tweet.

I just checked and it's still two for a dime. A drop in the value of the peso is only going to affect things Mexicans buy from the US, or that they have to purchase dollars to buy. The cost of a tlayuda may go up a little to pay for the US corn in the tortilla, but short term variations aren't going to have much effect on emigration.

It's just the market's way of trying to compensate for these disadvantages. Of course, it's probably too much to expect the great economic genius to understand this.
