Can women have a mid-life crisis? I'm your average everyday middle-aged housewife. In the midst of the Kaitlyn Jenner thing I was reading about transgender issues and I stumbled upon erotica.

Surprisingly, I am REALLY turned on the the whole thing, so much so that I find myself fantasizing about it. I just joined her as a result, but it seems it's mostly men. Are there others like me here?

Yep, there's no denying it.
It's generally, a bit of a sausage-fest around here! :shrug

Still, welcome to HA, may you find what you're looking for.

Well...that's kinda a trick question!:)A lot of transexuals identify themselves as women. I'm married to a man and doing the housewife thing myself. We probably have more in common than you think.;)I'm happy to meet you and glad you're here. We could all use more feminine perspectives.:D

I only used "housewife" because I hate "soccer mom". I only meant a typical married woman.

Hi WetKellie, Welcome to HA. I love the username.

I think there are a few genetic women members on this forum but not many.

I'm always intrigued by women who are turned on by transgender women and I find myself wondering what sort of erotica they enjoy?

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't really spend much time with erotica.

that's interesting that you don't spend much time with erotica. I'm totally intrigued now. I'd love to hear more about how you enjoy trans women?

Probably in person rather than online...

I'm surprised that I'm the one you find intriguing. I never have "enjoyed" a transgender woman. There's nothing to tell. I'm just average, and I kind of stumbled across all this. It's all quite different than any experience I have had.

You're a unicorn, which makes you intriguing! As stated earlier, it's bit of a sausage fest in here. Welcome.

As mentioned it's rare to hear anything from women regarding their fantasies even on HA. So much so that I'm quite fascinated by adventurous women exploring their sexuality and trying something new.

I personally know several women who are very turned on by transsexuals. Maybe women are just not interested in coming here.

There are a good number of genetic women who are into trans women IME, but I barely know who's who on this site.

Haha surprise him with it, you never know what may happen. It was my partner who got me into it, now I'm into more than she is.

I don't think that's gonna happen! I'm content just to look. There's no need to ruin a good marriage over a fantasy.

I was looking around, can someone tell me what "GG" means?

A guy that looks/pass for a girl till you see his cock.

i've never seen anyone claiming to be genetic woman here.

my ex-girlfriend is one that got me checking out transsexual pornography. she loved transsexuals because, as she put it, they had the two things she liked: cock and women.

however for us (can't speak for her today but at the time and remains true for me today), the interest was strictly a fantasy. a lot of men on this forum desire to be intimate with transsexual women and/or even be romantically involved with them- i however don't have such feelings.

i suppose you could say my interest remains very superficial

Common reason/justification used by perpetrators of crimes against trans-woman.

When the topic has come up, I haven't run into a woman (yet) that expressed an interest in transgender women.

Its not so unusual.

IRL I am not really out about my genitalia so I only normally interact with people who know that about me in the context of medical facilities. Even then, not all of them. But when there's no escaping the doctors, nurses, orderlies etc knowing I find I am far more likely to be hit on by GGs than GBs.

Some of that might be cultural. Our society is somewhat more accepting of orientation variance in women than in men. So there is more risk for a guy to explore in this way while at their job or where they can't be discrete about it.

If those wider societal pressures are internalized, a guy might be more inclined to publicly ignore or even fear attraction that carries risk. Hence the reoccurring topic that has popped up on this site continuously of "I am turned on by this, does it make me gay?!" and compare that to GG circles where not being straight is more shrugged off and irrelevant in comparison.

It probably has something to do with how you hear of far more trans murder cases where the perpetrators were guys than girls even after accounting for the fact that women commit drastically fewer violent crimes in general. The gay panic defense is a logical fallacy, but one that appeals to these social pressures similar to the way race does in the courts from time to time ("That <insert minority> guy scared me, and that's why I had to shoot him to death before he did anything- I was in fear for me life, you understand right?"). The logic doesn't compute, but it is not intended to logically prove innocence so much as to appeal to peoples' bias & emotions for knee-jerk absolution.

The very idea of innocence by reason of insanity was born out of a similar appeal to emotion. A wealthy, married man shot to death his wife's affair in broad daylight. By the facts the case was incontestable. The gun was his, the motive was obvious, there were witnesses. But by saying "I was so enraged I couldn't think properly, imagine if you had been me!" and that carried the day.

Maybe women are just not interested in coming here.

Why would they be? With the gender-dynamics involved with dating & acquiring sex- a GG could go on a dating website or craigslist and have people find them if they wanted to experience it IRL and probably be more successful at it that way than a GB would be.

When not IRL- sexual attraction is more visually oriented with guys than girls, and this is a site that largely carters to those visuals. There have been some interesting studies for example that find orientation & gender plays a profound role in obesity. If you were to rank the 4 main demographics by obesity rates from heaviest to lightest, you'd find it goes like this: Gay women, straight men, gay men, straight women. Why are the last two the least obese groups? Because their ability to turn on their significant others is directly based in visual appeal. The appeal "penalty" does not matter as much when the intended audience is female, even before getting into what sociologists call Lesbian Bed Death.
