Very sad news. He always came across as a very sincere, nice guy. A loss for the forum for sure. RIP DF

Re: R.I.P. Big DF
Dave and I got to the point where we were corresponding away from the forums - we had discovered a mutual passion for railways (he was a retired traindriver).
He was a lovely man in every way and so courteous and kind to the girls. I'm going to miss him a lot.

Re: R.I.P. Big DF
Last word on our departed friend. I've thought about all kinds of music to celebrate him, and I know he wouldn't have appreciated anything in the least maudlin. So this fits the bill.
I'll see you at the great roundhouse in the sky, buddy.
