I just looked up the ingredients in the recipe of feijoada:

It's very similar indeed to the "Fabada Asturiana" we have here in Spain... the main notable difference is that the beans are white in Spain and black in Brazil... plus I think there's a little more meat in the feijoada.

Just as well she didn't choose the Fabada over the Feijoada... if so, she'd have put on some more pounds - because Carbs unused can have dire consequences for the body!
