    Default Canadian Election?

Not sure how many other Canadians there are on here but i don't know about you but i am not so thrilled about the prospect of another election so close to the last one. I mean 3 Prime Ministers in 4 years

For those that don't know about Canadian election rules and such. In a couple days our PM Stephen Harper will be making his speech from the throne as it is called to set the agenda of the Canadian government this year. If the oppisition parties feel they disagree with the agenda they can vote no confidence and bring down the government wich will force a new federal election.

We don't impeach our PM's we just let there oposition parties pull the rug out from under them. There is an election at least once every four years but like what is happening now the oposition can force an early election if they so choose to do so. There is also no limit as to the number of terms that a PM can run in an election.

not sure about 5 pages but i guess anything is possible.

I didn't vote for the conservatives in the last election and if there is another one i don't plan on doing it then eiether. But i am sure that Stephen Harper will still be Prime Minister anyway after it is all said and done. Wich kinda makes a forced election pointless

The principal of this is called CONSENSUS which is
the idea that rather than unilaterally pushing
through an agenda which is only supported by your
own party you find a compromise which will be
supported by people in some of the other parties
as well. Yes, there is a downside but if politicians
weren't such pig headed narcissists there would also
    be an upside.

very true... but i think there is a bit more compramise needed. every year at this time during the throne speach they threaten another election, it gets a bit tiresome after a while.
