The first Iraqi War was perfection, what was the American deathcount, three?
Obama is going to top that. Those cruise missiles have expiration dates, and the jet pilots are on the payroll anyway, so why not put the fear of Allah into some of these ISIS cocksuckers. Is there any country in the world that will be upset if we off some of those ski-masked pricks? If that stupid ass George W had left Saddam Hussein live, he would never have let those thugs get so strong. Time to clean up yet one more of his goddam messes.

I am not ashamed of the U.S. invasion of Iraq because I don't believe I had any power to prevent it. I also tend not to feel shame for decisions I don't personally make. In the first election I ever voted in, I cast a vote for Al Gore. I attended numerous protests of the Iraq War before it became obvious it was a disaster. It's awful that it's the course our leaders chose and that the damage to the Middle East has been so grave. Clearly I wish Bush had chosen another course.

I'm not in absolute agreement w/ Ron Paul. But he does make some good points.

Seems strange that people in a democratic society feel powerless. Oh, that's right. We don't live in a democracy. We live in a plutocracy -- ha ha!
It's true: you and I didn't make the final decision. I mean, the ultimate decision was made by Bush... and Congress went along with him. (But there is some debate whether Bush or Cheney was the de facto President. Cheney did have a lot of power in the Bush administration.)
Actually, we don't elect leaders. We elect representatives. They serve us. We pay their salaries.
I mean, being a politician should be simple administrative work. They, our elected representatives, should merely institute policies that we want.
Public policy should reflect public opinion... and thus you'd have a democracy. But of course it doesn't work that way and therefore we've a stark democratic deficit.
The likes of Bush, Cheney, Blair should be prosecuted for the crime against peace, for war crimes.
Most people are unaware of the KELLOGG-BRIAND PACT.... Here's the link.... We, well, outlawed war back in 1928: https://www.princeton.edu/~achaney/t...iand_Pact.html

We know all too much about the cruelty of Isis – but all too little about who they are:
