Its way diff here in the US. It very illegal. There are only like a few places that its legal, like some towns, but thats it.

In New York, anti-prostitution enforcement is directed against the johns. "Enlightened" DA's view the providers as victims of sex abuse and police stings are designed to snare just the guys. Not sure it that's the case in other parts of the country.
