Re: Kimber James post op?
Sex reassignment surgery (initialized as SRS; also known as gender reassignment surgery (GRS), genital reconstruction surgery, sex affirmation surgery, sex realignment surgery or sex-change operation) is a term for the surgical procedures by which a person's physical appearance and function of their existing sexual characteristics are altered to resemble that of the other sex. It is part of a treatment for gender identity disorder/gender dysphoria in transsexual and transgender people. It may also be performed on intersex people, often in infancy and without their consent.
What I had found from non porn associated transgender women in the support group, is that they call it gender reassignment surgery, even the psychologists, surgeons and lawyers that offer counselling call it gender reassignment surgery, so I will call it the same even if I'm not the girl with the cock, I guess many terms are correct, but gender reassignment surgery is the term that the people I work with seem to prefer.

You should by all means correct the people you work with, because their chosen nomenclature displays a lack of understanding of concepts they should be familiar with.
And seriously, you are no more likely to find educated opinions from people just because they don't work in the adult industry. That's just stupid to insinuate.

Re: Kimber James post op?
In all honesty, I rather of been born female than been born trans. I don't like being trans. It isn't an easy life. The medication we take shortens our life span and people hate us just because of who we are. I wouldn't say I hate any part of myself...But I am certainly not happy with the body I was born with. I could see why someone would hate parts of their body though. I have at one time in my life, but I didn't have the money to get SRS before I got in to porn. I still don't. Porn has helped me get over some of the body issues while I still have to deal with them as it feels good to have people like you just as you are.

Re: Kimber James post op?
Too many men simply fantasise about transsexual women and don't take the time or trouble to research and understand both the physical and mental challenges that they face all their lives.
It's that which leads to crass conversations both on HA and in real life. Through knowing several tgirls as platonic friends, I've come to understand, respect and admire them simply as the great human beings that they are.
And I salute your courage, Amy.

Re: Kimber James post op?
This is direct text from the American Medical Association describing treatment of Gender Identity Disorder I guess they need to be also corrected:
Individual and family counseling usually is recommended to treat children with gender identity disorder. Counseling focuses on treating the associated problems of depression and anxiety and on improving self-esteem. Therapy also aims at helping the individual function as well as possible within his or her biological gender.
Counseling is recommended for adults, as is involvement in a support group. Some transsexual adults request hormone and surgical treatments to suppress their biological sex characteristics and to achieve those of the opposite sex. The surgical alteration of a person's sex is called gender reassignment surgery (sometimes referred to as a "sex change" operation). Because this surgery is major and irreversible, candidates for surgery must undergo an extensive evaluation and transition period.

Re: Kimber James post op?
A MTF TG I knew did mention that the ".... medication we take shortens our life span." Which she was reluctant to take. But took nonetheless.
I think the culture is changing with respect to how we treat members of the LGBT community.... I mean, the overall culture is far more civilized than it was, say, 50 years ago. Things are changing. And changing for the better. I remain hopeful about people.
Most people are decent and moral. But certainly the culture and the society turn us against our decent and moral impulses for a whole host of reasons. This, of course, relates to the corporate culture.... But that's a whole other issue...

Re: Kimber James post op?
Thanks for your honesty, when I found this site I assumed that the girls here were different that the transgender girls I had met, I actually thought that you wanted to live as a woman but embraced your genitals and been able to be a man and a woman at the same time and that sexualy attracted me, but now that I see the suffering you girls are going through I'm having a hard time getting aroused with the "chick with dick" concept, I was trying to introduce my wife to my fantasy but I think the reality is hitting me and makes feel as I'm exploiting another human being, not very sexy.

Re: Kimber James post op?
Fuckin' hippy.
Some trans women are in constant crippling dysphoric pain, but there are lots of us who, while we'd prefer to have been born "normal" or whatever, don't have any problem getting it up and getting down, as we navigate our way through life with the situation we're in. If I were constantly suffering about having a cock (which I have been in the past) I wouldn't be able to do my job.
As it stands, I can do my job, and I'm quite happy to sell myself as an object, as long as it keeps paying.

Re: Kimber James post op?
Guys, sorry, I'm absolutly drunk. I've been driking cask strengt scotch whisky all night and I'm very happy -so just that you know... But sorry if I seem a little irrational or something...
Hey! Kimber has gone so far in her transition, if she decided to go all the way, God! I'm happy for her! I really wish her the best. There is no doubt in my mind that someone like her has only dreamt to be a woman all her life, has suffered, has felt amazing amount of pain, have been litterally tortured by the feeling of being in the wrong body. If she decided to go on with it and completed her transition, I'm glad for her. She's was a KO before, she will be also from now on...
