I love Tom Baker. My fave Doctors are Tom Baker, David Tennant, Sylvester McCoy, and Matt Smith.
If it appears tonight I will watch it. Been looking for it for a while, but all I find are stupid fan made ones.

What amazes me about the older era Dr Who, especially the Tom Baker era, is the audio quality. There was no post-dubbing and it was all done with boom mics, which always captured the essence of the room.
I recently watched "Horror at Fang Rock" and a few things dawned on me. Aside from the fantastic acting, all the characters die in the end, which was very unusual for that time.
The Baker era of Dr. Who will forever be hard to top.

Yep, Tom Baker tops my list of Doctors. He combined the dramatic and the humorous brilliantly, sort of Mr Spock meets Harpo Marx. But then they say that whoever was the Doctor when you first started watching is the one you tend to favor as the best. I liked all the Doctors, except Colin Baker who didn't much impress me. Top Doctors for me are Tom Baker, David Tennant, Jon Pertwee, and Sylvester McCoy (who could've done so much more had the show not been terminated during his run), followed by Peter Davison, Matt Smith, and William Hartnell (yeah, I liked the grumpy old man).

I'm very old, so it has to be William Hartnell for the best doctor. He was old, cranky and mysterious, just what a 900 year old time lord should be like. The program went out live too! try doing that today!
