I've had people tell me to try an "image search" before and just out of curiosity, how does that work if you have no name to start with or any other information? I know if I type a name into Google, related images will appear but how does it work with no information to enter?

go to images.google.com

drag and drop image and it will search and try to find where else the image has been posted online. Google's reverse image search is pretty damn good.

I usually use TinEye. I just save the image to My Pictures ,than on the TinEye search page browse in My Pictures to upload.
In Google Toolbar the search images tool will give you the same sort of search page.
