There are loop-holes. Some states really don't define what a sex change operation is. In some states it was legally considered any operation that would permanently change some ones appearance. Hence a breast job was technically a "sex change" operation.

There's currently a TS in New Jersey fighting to get her share of her late husband's estate. While I don't personally know her, I know that her marriage appears to have been considered legal right up to where her husband's will was challenged by his ex-wife and the children from that previous marriage. Guess time will tell whether New Jersey recognizes the marriage as legal now.

Yeah I know a few- One post op who's married to a banker guys much older than her (guess what she sees in him), my ex girlfriend who married a Muslim guy she met on haj- she hasen't told him she's ts and most likely he'd kill her if he found out. Another post op who goes to the wayout club alot (shes a singer there) i've never met her husband though, theres this other girl who goes there as well who i've really got a thing for- shame she's taken. All the others I know that are married just did so to get a visa... hmmm. Civil partnership (gay marriage) is legal here, and ts' can change their legal gender regardless of whether they've had srs or not. In fact I had an argument with the last girl I was seeing about whether my singer friend was married or not, because she didn't believe me ts' could get legally married here. She kept saying it was either civil partnership or she was a ggirl. still kept arguing even when my friend told her she was married and a ts. Batshit crazy woman- can't stand to loose an argument.
