Cannot vouch for the OP's intellect, but quite a few people pretty much said the same thing. This also happens whenever there is a violent, or some such crime. Since the usual suspect is....., many feel a bit "relieved" (if that is the proper word), that this time they won't be held to blame, again.

However as another poster stated, or maybe read it elsewhere, if the suspect had been a black male, he probably wouldn't have made it past hotel security, much less gotten a foot inside the girl's door.

Personally don't think this suspect gave this much tought. Every hotel, especially major/upscale hotels have security cameras everywhere, more so since 9/11/01. Know persons who work in NYC hotels and they say despite what many think, including prossies, that just because they breeze past the front desk all is fine. It is just like department stores, someone is peeping everywhere you go. Elevator, floor, and what room one goes into.

As far as the escorts that dont date blacks go, I don't have a problem with it, but...when you don't tell me ahead of time, that is upsetting. I remember Jordan informed me that she didn't see black guys...this was told to me as I was headed to the hotel she was at. I was totally surprised, don't know the story but it is true, no one has told me, "I don't date white guys..."

Society is not fair to men of color. A White guy can go on a killing spree, such as the one that occurred this year in South Alabama where 10 people lost their lives, and yet no one assumes white males are violent. If a person of color commits a crime, their entire race is branded violent or prone to criminal acts. This never occurs with whites. PEOPLE NEED TO JUDGE PEOPLE AS INDIVIDUAL AND NOT BASED ON SKIN COLOR. EVERY RACE HAS GOOD AND BAD PEOPLE. It is foolish for escorts to think that by discriminating against Black Men, they are improving their safety.

You bring up a good point. I never visited an escort before, but I have read some of the things some girls say about black guys on this forum. I'm just glad they caught the guy, although they are saying that he probably committed more crimes than what was originally expected.

I completely agree with everything you said. It would really, really be nice if, now that Obama is US President, we might see some progress both in the US and Europe.

People are people, there's good and bad in all of us; prejudices about particular societal or ethnic groups help absolutely no-one at all, either the prejudiced-against, or, ultimately, those with the prejudices. We can all learn from each other.

I never really thought about it but whenever something comes up like this its either a black male or african american male. Then when it's a white guy it's simply a male.
