I had the opportunity to try pot when I was in Amsterdam during my spring break trip in Europe. Three of my travel companions and myself went to a pot bar. They ordered pot off the menu. I didn't order anything, because I wasn't about to do anything in Europe that I wouldn't do at home. The pot was served to my friends, but the owner sent me out, thinking I just wanted to get high off the second hand pot smoke. I gladly left, and I'm still proud of myself. That was in 1996.

I have used more than my share in the past... No reason to list them, since I'm not proud of that part of my life and glad its over and done with.

Pot, love it
Shrooms, like it but not where they came from
Hash, liked it but it was hard to get and hard on my throat
Demerol, now that is the ticket
Vicodin or lartab, good stuff
Percocet, good stuff too
Oxycontin or Roxanol, too strong but good when my back goes out
Xanax or Valium, lets all just relax
alcohol pass me a beer.
Viagra, gets me hard but my blood pressure goes up too

Most likely a few others I can not think of right now, just took a Percocet and I feel GOOD

trust me things seem allot more clear now, it's like a mist has cleared from my head that had been there for ten years, and now I can think straight!

lol, I've a blizzard going on in my head, never mind a mist! I'm gonna quit as a new years resolution. Cheers for the advice.

The best place to trip is the beach.

After dark on a mountaintop above the fog and clouds below is great too. Bell clear and you can see all the stars. It's like being on an island in the sky.


Lust4ts and Nightrider were talking about the perils of going straight.

Yeah,you lose some friends,but they're "get high" friends and not true friends. Your real friends stick w/you,take it from someone who's been clean for a couple of decades.

The key is realizing you're going to slip up from time to time and not be too hard on yourself when it happens.

Personally I think you can continue to use some things in moderation,but as those things are illegal,the folks you have to deal w/ to get them can draw you back into the lifestyle. That,IMO,is harder to quit than the drugs.

Thanks TJT, that makes sense. Since I cut down on drugs I've lost contact with some mates, so I'm expecting to lose a few more when I stop completely. I guess that's just a reality of getting clean.

It would be far easier for me to name the drugs I havent done. Having said that, I havent used in almost 20 years and am healthy and somewhat sane, lol. just say no, dammit

alcohol - daily becausei make interesting decisions when i drink.

weed - for research

mushrooms - when i need a vacation

pain pills - to get the day started

tobacco - smoking makes you look cooler

when i ingest them all together. i can fly!
