While I m still smiling about the last sentence I feel myself forced to add sth. to the part about Hitler. You missed that he was a maniac long befor he became really powerful in Germany. His book "Mein Kampf" written while jailed for an unsuccesful coup in the early 1920th.

And the methods he used to restore the state where heading for a war from a very early state (using some very interessting ways of national debt management).
