    Here is a free version of Avid called Avid Free DV. For those not familiar with Avid, it is used for video editting. It is a free version but if you want REALLY want to do video editing, i would suggest one of the Sony Vegas versions.

    But anyway, this one is free

    Blender is a free 3D graphics environment. It is a bit quirky but they don't expect you to pay $1000-$8000 US for a 3d app.
