When I noticed a thread about The Who I was going to mention that I always felt that they were the original garage rock/punk band...and 'Live at Leeds' is a perfect example...when people mention the Beatles or the Stones only when referring to the early Brit rock legends, I always bring up The Who...

    If you loved Moon, check out the Who's version of Under My Thumb. Its a rarety but one of the best cuts they ever had.

    Goddamnit! I must be the oldest motherf****er on this board!! However, I saw the Who at the Fillmopre East in 1970 when they were introducing their brand new project Tommy to the Styates. Great show, but though Moonie was perfect for the chaos of the Who, he was not all that good a drummer. Props to Peart, Bruford and the much underrated Stewart Copland from the Police( even if he did speed up by the end of every tune).
