Filipinos are very tolerant of baclas and bayuts (different names for TS Girls) but they are definitely confined to certain professions: hairstylists, pageant directors, stylists, etc. But there are quite a few beautiful TS girls that are 100% passable.

Its actually spelled Bakla. LOL Bayuts right. As for professions, its stereotype casting. Because you're bakla everyone expect you to either be one of the folowing:

    1. Hairdresser/Cosmetologist
    2. Drag performer at gay bars
    3. Stand up commedians
    4. Choreographers
    5. Stylist
    6. Visual artist
    7. Creative director for Ad agencies
    8. Artist
    9. Designer
    10. Personal assistant

The list goes on..And as far as only a few were passable..You must have went to the wrong (Low Budget) pageant (The one's held on the streets not an auditorium and televised). Like the one's pictured below which isnt that bad by the way considering tis was a provincial search held in Tagbilaran City not the capital, Manila.

LOL Manila's 5 prettiest was one tough contest with 3,000 plus beautiful girls and 95% are all young and passable (mostly college crowd and girls who work as show girls in Japan). Winners wins huge cash prizes, trips and a chance to compete for Miss TS International (held in Japan) now called Miss International Queen.

HURDLE #1: If guys would learn to stop over complementing, and not compliment every tranny (or girl) they see and talk to (so a girl would feel it was sincere and that she's special), maybe they'd get somewhere but a dead end! lol

I was a judge in Cebu and it was more of a community event. It was not THE big pageant in Manila that's for sure. But you're right that I've been to some of the big hotel dance clubs in Manila and the bayuts are 100% passable.

Here's another one: Miss Gay Bohol (Bohol Islands which is down south still not Manila).

Oh and to ADD: Filipino's are tolerant is correct but not respectful of them!
